Sydney, Australia, 2013
Calum sat on the small raft as he floated through the ocean. He was drumming on the pieces of driftwood and thinking about his boyfriend.
Then he thought about the boy he left trapped. Luke would always be his biggest what if. What if Calum had stayed? Where would they be now?
Luke was sweet, but Dylan was his everything. Calum couldn't stand another moment without his one true love by his side, so Calum left Luke's island.
Calum's experience on that island was one he would never forget, that's for sure. He remembered Luke blonde hair whipping around in the wind, and the way Luke would focus on everything around him.
Calum hated himself for breaking Luke's heart.
A sharp jolt interrupted Calum's stream of thought. He was back in Sydney.
I guess I'll go home now, Calum thought to himself.

Calum ripped the rusty key out of his pocket and jammed it into the door. It burst open and Calum ran through the apartment's rooms, calling for his roommate.
"Michael?"
"Michael where are you?"
Calum heard a loud scream of excitement come from Micheal's room. His best friend ran out of his room and toppled Calum over in a bear hug, Michael's playstation controller still in his hand.
"Bro," Michael gasped, "Where the fuck were you? A deserted island?" he joked sarcastically.
Calum laughed, knowing Michael had accidentally hit the nail on the head guessing his whereabouts. "Um... I actually was on a deserted island with an immortal god."
Michael made a confused face. "Dude, are you okay? Have you gone mental? MY BEST FRIENDS GONE MENTAL!"
"No Micheal, I'm serious. I was walking to Dylan's house to propose, and before I could get there I was magically transported to this island. There was a boy, and he was cursed to live there forever. It was insane."
Michael was a good friend. He was a goofball, constantly joking. Calum didn't know that the jokes were just to hide Michael's own sadness and suicidal tendency's, that was Michael's little secret. But, Michael knew his best friend would never tell a lie like this.
"So.. um. You didn't ask Dylan to marry you yet?" Michael asked.
"No."
Michael sighed, "You better go do it now. You've been missing for like a week, he's been freaking out."
"Shit, really? I better go!" Calum bolted towards the door, "Michael, I'm gonna ask him to marry me." Calum said giddily as he rushed out the door.
Calum's best friend smiled, "Go get him tiger."

Luke's sobs racked his small body, losing half his bodily fluid through tears.
Calum had been running through his dreams, and it was driving Luke crazy it seems.
Luke thought Calum was so different from Ashton. Calum was kind, Calum cared about Luke.
Luke didn't even kiss Calum.
Maybe if he kissed the dark haired boy, then he wouldn't have left to go to Dylan.
What was so special about Dylan anyway? Was he more beautiful than Luke?
No, that was impossible. Luke was a god, Dylan was a mortal.
The garden that had been replenished when Calum came was slowly dying once more.
Luke's heart was dying too.
