Clary's POV
I am waiting in the library of the institute. Jace walks in with Tara. I walk up to her.
"Listen here Tara," I say, "Jace is my boyfriend not yours. You need to back off and leave us alone."
"Last I checked you ran off because he was cheating on you," she says.
"I thought he was cheating on me. I was wrong. It turns out it was just some stupid ex girlfriend who was jealous."
"He loves me," she says. I slap her face really hard.
"I said back off," I shout. I walk out of the library and go to the training room.
Jace's POV
Clary slaps Tara's face and shouts, "I said back off."
She walks out of the room. I walk Tara to the door.
"Are you going to let her treat me like that?" Tara asks me.
"Yes," I say. I walk away to find Clary. I find her throwing knives in the training room. I walk over to her.
Clary's POV
"Clary," I hear him say. I turn around and see him standing right there.
"What do you want Jace?"
"I wanted to make sure you were okay," he says.
"I'm fine," I say. I go back to throwing knives. He grabs my hand and spins me around so I am facing him.
"I am trying to train," I say.
"And I am trying to talk to you," he says.
"So talk while I train," I say.
"Meet me in the greenhouse in an hour ," he says, then he leaves.
'Weird,' I think as I collect the knives.
