Clary's pov
As I slowly walk into my old room I can feel all the tears trying to spill out of my eyes. I feel a strong pair of arms wrap around my waist and instantly I know who they belong to. I turn around to face him and he slowly leans down to kiss me. This is definitely something that I missed. I know I am exactly where I belong. Then someone clears their throat loudly and we turn to see Magnus holding my daughter who is now covered in glitter. I walk over and take her out of his arms.
"Magnus, did you put glitter and eyeliner on my daughter," Jace and I ask at the same time.
"Yes, that way she can look even more fabulous than she ever has," he replies.
I just roll my eyes and go to give Avy a bath. Jace comes and helps which results in him getting soaked from head to toe. I laugh which causes Avy to start giggling. I pick her up and start to dry her off. Then Jace takes her from me and pushes me into the tub. Avy starts giggling even harder. I grab my phone and text Izzy to bring me a towel.
A few minutes later Izzy walks in with a towel. She hands it to me and I dry off.
"What happened?" She asks us. I explain to her what happened as I put Avy in her pajamas. I get her tucked into bed before changing into one of Jace's old t-shirts and a pair of shorts. I go to Jace's room and knock on the door. When I get no response I just walk in.
"Jace," I say before noticing him on the bed reading a book. I go over and curl up with him.
"What are you reading?" I ask him. He closes the book and looks over at me. He leans towards me.
"A Tale of Two Cities," he says, "I forgot you stole that shirt from me."
I laugh before I give him a kiss.
"I missed this," I say echoing my thoughts from earlier. He smiles at this and goes to say something. I don't get to hear what he says because I hear screaming coming from Avy's room. I jump up and run to her room. I find a note laying there.
Clarissa text the number below if you want your daughter back.
I turn to go find Jonathan but fall to the ground instead. I feel tears streaming down my face as I realize that my daughter was kidnapped.
"Clary?"
"Someone took her," I say to the person standing in front of me.
"We will find her Baby girl," my mom says holding me tight. I just nod and stand up. I go back to Jace's room and tell him that Avy was kidnapped. I don't tell him about the note. I tell him that I need some air. He nods and we go up too the greenhouse. I smile at the thought of our first kiss.
I pull out the note and my phone.
Where is she? -C
I wait for a response but don't get one. Jace sees the note and grabs it out of my hand.
"You need to let Magnus see this," Jace says, "he might be able to figure out who took her."
"No," I say, "I can't let anyone know about this. Jace promise me that you won't tell anyone. Please Jace."
"I promise," he says, "let's go get some rest."
I nod and we go back to his room. I fall asleep immediately.

Where is she?-C
I wait until I am sure that everyone is asleep. I send a text back.
She is safe. Come to your old house tonight at midnight.
I laugh at her stupidity.
