Hello Readers! I thought i'd update! I've noticed Bilbo is slightly out of character but hopefully I improve that this chapter! This chapter may be shorter than usual, and may be...not very good. Sorry!
But please still enjoy!-TheHobbitsFrom221b
Kathy's POV
"Everything alright?"
Bilbo looks up, "excuse me?"
I laugh slightly, while he just looks panicked. I scan him, he wears a gold waistcoat. Similar to the one he wore at the start of An Unexpected Journey. He also is standing directly in front of the door. "Are you okay? You look like you're freaking out" I say, I fidget with my gloves. He makes his way over to the window to the right of the door, and looks out of it. He sighs, in what seems to be relief, then looks back at me with a small smile. "Uh...Yes. Of course" he steps away.
I chew on my bottom lip for a moment, pondering. Could he of possibly just talked to Gandalf? I mean...the waistcoat looks the exact same as in the movie on second glance. And he's all panicked and looking through the wind-
"Kathy?"
I flinch, "Hmm?" He chuckles, "Are you alright?" He says tilting his head. I nod, "Sorry, Pondering"
He nod affirmatively, "Right. Well I need to go to the market. Would you like to come? The others can come too, if they wish" He asks, grabbing a blue coat off his hanger. My eyes widen, "Erm...wouldn't people look? I mean we're 'big folk', people would stare..." I say with a soft sigh. He nods, "Yes, Well. I don't mind. I just don't want to keep you girls all alone" he says, also grabbing a basket. I grin, "Well I guess it couldn't hurt. I'd love to have a look around Hobbiton" I say. He grins too, "Then it's settled. Go get the others""Guys? What are you doing?"
I stand in the door way, Madilyn lays on the floor wincing in pain, while Adrianna and Hailey slam pillows in her face. Adrianna looks up, "Oh, Hey Kath. This probably looks weird. But she's being annoying."
I raise an eyebrow. Madilyn can be annoying, That's believable. But why are they violently beating her with pillows? I shake it off. It's not the weirdest thing we've done. I sigh when I think about that. We be weird to be amuse ourselves occasionally-but a lot of people hate people like that. We're pretty much outcasts back home. Then again, we could be here in Hobbiton too. Only for being big folk though.
"Anyway..." I say, the girls put the pillows back, and help Madilyn up. "We're going to the market. Bilbo's waiting""So Kathy, those gloves"
I raise an eyebrow, "Sorry?" I say, turning to face Bilbo. "Your gloves. You never take them off. Why?"
I fidget with the tips. "Oh, I don't know. They're just...nice" I say with a shrug. He laughs, "Okay then keep your secrets!" I smile, "I have no secrets" I lie with a laugh. He scoff, "Everyone's got secrets!" I shrug, "Maybe so"I look behind me, the girls chat following closely behind Bilbo and I. I look back towards Bilbo, "But they wouldn't be secrets if everyone knew" I say. He beams, "Ah, you do have a point"
He approaches a stall, a older hobbit stands behind it. Bilbo asks for what he needs, and I see the older hobbit wrap up several pieces of fish. Hailey notices and frowns, "Should I tell him I'm vegetarian?" She asks me speaking quietly. "I don't think so. Just don't eat it. And I think we're going to have extra guests tonight anyway" I start looking around. Hobbiton is so beautiful. Gorgeous. I've been to the set in New Zealand. But the real thing is just gorgeous. Hobbits, as I predicted, stare and give weird looks, but I just don't acknowledge them. Soon Bilbo comes back towards us. "Right, that's all I need" he smiles. I nod and we start making our way back, but he looks at something.
Suddenly he starts running off, hiding behind something. "Mr Baggins?" Adrianna asks. I begin starting to run after him, the girls follow. But then he just sighs in relief. "Are you okay?" Hailey asks, tilting her head and slightly panting. He nods, "Um...I think we should head back..."
