Kathy's POV

A sigh in relief escapes my lips. We didn't change anything. Bilbo sighs and gets up, "I better go get that..." He says, I look at Adrianna. She grins eagerly at me, "We're coming" She whispers. I nod and get up, as Bilbo starts leaving the room. Adrianna follows and we go after him into the front room.

Bilbo opens the door to see a familiar dwarf at the door. "Dwalin, at your service" he bows. I turn to Adrianna and grin, she does too, while Bilbo doesn't seem as happy to see the dwarf at the door. "Oh, um. Bilbo Baggins... At yours..." He squeaks, doing up his dressing gown. Suddenly Dwalin walks in, pushing past Bilbo. "Wait! Uh...Do we know each other?" He asks, looking Dwalin up and down nervously then glancing at us, "No. Now. Which way laddie? Is it down here?" He asks, walking into the next room. Bilbo sighs, he looks at us, desperately trying to figure out why a dwarf would even come here, "Is what where?" Dwalin turns to face him, "Supper. He said they'd be food, and lots of it" he explains. Dwalin puts his stuff down, handing done to Bilbo and completely ignoring us. "He said? Who said?" He asks, tilting his head. As Dwalin strides down the hall he begins to scan over the place. Bilbo trails after, he doesn't say anything, he just keeps close. Dwalin turns to look at Bilbo who stands a few steps away from him. Bilbo gulps before speaking up, "U-Uh I can show you to some food. Just this way" Bilbo nervously mumbles and walks in front of Dwalin. He begins to lead the dwarf into the dinning room. Dwalin doesn't follow at first, he just turns his head and looks at us. Adrianna and I nervously share glances before waving awkwardly. Dwalin grunts and follows after the fumbling Bilbo.

Bilbo pulls out the chair that he had been sitting in and motions for Dwalin to sit. He glares at Bilbo, seeming unsure about him, before nodding and sitting down. Adrianna and I stand to the left of Bilbo, who pushes his plate of food towards Dwalin. Dwalin mutters a 'thank you' and begins into the plate.

I look at Adrianna, a squeal of excitement bubbling up inside me. I can already imagine the stuff that will happen. I mean The Company would have to let us come. If they don't, we'll make them let us. If we die along the way it's our loss. They don't have to worry about us. Madilyn, Fili and Kili would get along so well, it would be ridiculous. Oh and Hailey is quite crafty so I can imagine her and couple of the dwarves that are toy makers in the Blue Mountains would have a few conversations.

I stifle the squeal, if I did have to prove my worthiness to The Company, I think squealing like a young girl won't help. I look at Bilbo, he stares into space. He's probably wondering what's going on. First us, now a dwarf. I awkwardly shift my weight when an uncomfortable thought goes through my head. What if he thinks it's us? What if he blames us? He doesn't know this was going to happen anyway... I bite my lip.

Suddenly the silence that's only disturbed by Dwalin's munching, is broken. "It's good, this. Got anymore?" He asks roughly. Bilbo is brought back to Earth and it takes him a moment to process it. "What?" He asks, blinking in confusion before realizing. "Oh! Uh, yes. I should. Er Girls?" He turns to face us. He has his face crumpled up, the poor thing is so confused. He motions his hands towards our plates, as if to as if it was okay to give our plates to the dwarf before us. "Oh yes. Sorry" Adrianna fusses awkwardly, shifting both our plates towards him. He takes the fish right off both our plates and crunches on it.

A few seconds later, the bell goes again. "That'll be the door" I smirk, quoting the film. Although when Dwalin says it at the exact same time and gives me a suspicious glance, I stop smirking and rush off, exclaiming "I'll get it!"

I open the door, revealing a white-haired dwarf. He breaks into a grin, "Balin. At your service" He says, bowing. Before I can respond, he continues, "Is this the home of...er..." He trails off, hands fumbling for something in his pockets, he pulls out a piece of paper and reads off it, "Bilbo Baggins?" He asks. I nod. "Ah. Are you his..." He ponders for the word. I tilt my head. "Partner?" He asks finally. Partner?

I laugh, shaking my head, "No, No. I'm just a.... acquaintance" I say. He nods, with a chuckle. "Oh, sorry. My mistake" He says. I hear footsteps approaching. Adrianna? No, it's loud. Probably Bilbo. "Excuse me for one moment. Ms Bradfort? Do you mind watching..." He trails off and ends up in the doorway leading to the hallway. "Uh, Kathy? Who is it?" He asks before seeing the dwarf in front of me. "Oh. Good evening" He says, scanning the dwarf up and down. Balin begins to grin and looks outside, "Yes, Yes it is. Although I think it might rain later" He says with a mere shrug. He looks around, "Am I late?" He asks. Bilbo furrows his brow.

"Uh... Late for...? Late for what?"

-Madilyn's POV-

Hailey gulps, "T-Thorin Oakenshield?" she stumbles. My eyes widen. Oh my lord. Okay, I'm not the biggest Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit fan, and I'm more familiar with The Hobbit rather than The Lord of the Rings but I'd recognize Thorin anywhere. Honestly, he's my favorite character. And he's right in front of me. Thorin doesn't hear Hailey's 'fangirling' but he certainly notices her. He smiles slightly, "My apologies, I was not watching where I was going" He says, bowing slightly. Hailey shakes her head, a smile of disbelief spreading over her face. Now it's sinking in. This must mean the dwarves are at Bilbo's...

"No, No, No. It's my fault. My...er...apologies" she stumbles awkwardly. She turns back to look at me, mouthing 'I'm an idiot'. Thorin only smiles, tilting his head. "Apology accepted. Although it was not unnecessary at all." He says. Hmm. Everyone online says he's majestic. And they're kind of right.  But standing in front of him... you can pretty much feel the majesty. Although that sounds weird doesn't it? "I am, as much as I hate to admit it, lost. Do you girls know the way to 'Bagend'?" He asks, not seeming impressed with the thought of Bagend. Ah, if I recall correctly, Thorin wasn't so keen on the whole Hobbit idea. Oh well. He'll change his mind.

I cut in at this point. "Oh yes. We were just heading over there now. We're friends of the owner" I grin. Thorin raises an eyebrow slowly. "Hmm. Really? You know Master Baggins? So what's he like?" He asks. Hailey glances over to me. "Uh... W-well he's intelligent... Loyal.... brave... Adventurous..." She trails off. She must be trying to get Thorin to respect Bilbo a little more. Hmm. I doubt it will work. Thorin nods.  "Indeed? Okay then, how about I meet him?"

The dwarves loudly sing-no Shout-the song, playing away on their instruments. I can only imagine Kathy and Adrianna joining in. Thorin knocks three times, harshly. Suddenly the racket inside Bagend has been hushed. Thorin glances back at Hailey, who flinches and looks down. He smiles at this. Hmm... interesting.
Soon the door is answered. I see Bilbo and wave at him. He smiles but I can tell he is too frustrated to answer me properly. "Rude" I mumble, causing Hailey's elbow to knock my side. I scowl and rub my side that now hurts.

"Ah. Gandalf. I thought you said this place would be easy to find. I lost my way, twice. Wouldn't have found it at all had it not been for these friends of Master Baggins" He says, He keeps his eyes on Bilbo. I wave at the dwarves. One of the younger ones ( oh... what's his name? Not Ori... Not Balin... Fili? No Kili!), Kili, waves back. His brother, Fili, pushes his hand down. I put mine down too. Gandalf furrow's his brow. "Oh really? Had you not seen the mark on the door?" He asks. Thorin shakes his head, "It's disappeared, I'm afraid" He announces. "Is that so?" Gandalf begins to ponder. Bilbo then cuts in, "That's because there isn't one. I had it painted a mere week ago" He grumbles. Gandalf chuckles. "There was one; I am sure of it, because I put it there myself this morning." He explains.

"Bilbo Baggins, Ms Edwards, Ms Bradford, allow me to introduce the leader of our company, Thorin Oakenshield" He introduces. Oh, he must of met Kath and Anna already.  Thorin bows before he circles Bilbo. "So then, This is the Hobbit. Your reputation better precede you. Now, tell me Master Baggins, have you done much fighting?"
