Chapter 25 - Smack!

" who's Veronica" Sasha scoffed at her

" it's James ex girlfriend from like 3 years ago" beau said.

I couldn't watch anymore. As they walked over I got up and went to the drinks machine.

" Beth?" I turned round to see beau behind me.
" hey" I said giving him a small smile

" what he's done is a dick move" he said pulling me in for a hug, " I thought he loved me beau" I sobbed Into his shoulder

" am I interrupting something?" I turn to see the girl James was with smirking holding her glass. " what do you want" I beau says as I wipe my eyes

" just filling up my drink" she smirks again "

Beau and I walk back over to the table and the conversation stops when we arrive

I did my best to avoid eye contact with him, I sat myself between Jai and Luke both of them trying to comfort me by giving me a pat on the back, beau joined back with Anna on the Table and they gave me an encouraging nod.

" so what's everyone having?" I say and James looks at me.
Veronica takes her seat back next to James and they make small talk as we all order our food

I take sips of my drink as everyone talks
"can you believe it?Me and James back together after all this time? I was surprised when he called me" she says and I almost choke, back together?

" that's funny cause I thought James was already in a relationship" Daniel said defensively

" I was but it seems she had feelings for someone else" he glances at me giving me a cold stare

" bullshit!" I stand up
" Beth calm down its okay" Luke tries to pull me back

" fuck this I'm going home" I feel the tears run down my cheeks as I walk away

" wait! "
" Beth hold on!"
I hear my friends shout but I ignore it

I jump in the first taxi I see and leave

A few hours later

After I've scrubbed off my makeup and changed my clothes I sit in my room just watching movies, I must of cried at Least 20 times since I got back.

I hear a knock at my door and Niamh Sasha and Keelies head poke Round.

They see my red eyes and come over to sit on my bed.

" how are you doing" Niamh says

" shit" I reply

" if it makes you feel any better, keelie swilled her with a drink and Sasha slapped him" Niamh says and I Laugh

" it does a little, what happened?"

They start to tell me how she has said I was being stupid for leaving and how James always cared for her and they all got mad

" where's James now?" I ask

" he's downstairs" Niamh says quietly

" and so is she" Sasha adds

" cmon get changed your coming down" keelie drags me up

"Keelie I can't go down there" I say hiding my face

" hey you fucking live here not her cmon"

I don't bother getting changed but I do go downstairs eventually

I sit next to Sasha and beau and listen to everyone talk

" Beth can I speak to you a minute?" James stands up and everyone falls silent.

" no you can actually fuck off " I say not even looking at him
I hear Luke snigger and I can't help but smile

" why are you talking to him like that" I hear a whiney voice

" why are you even here?" I look at her and she obviously didn't expect me to reply

" cause I'm James girlfriend" she announces

" good fucking luck with that" I say laughing

" you know what you two are actually perfect for eachother" I look at them and James looks at me desperately

" your both Inconsiderate arsewholes who don't give a shit about other peoples feelings" I shout

" Beth stop it! I'm sorry okay?" James shouts

" stop it? You bring this slut to dinner with our friends and expect me to be okay?! Fuck off James"

I try to stay calm and stand up to walk away but I hear " what a whore" and before
I know it I'm on top of her Punching her in the face
