Chapter 29 - Healing The Wounds

Beth's POV
"what the fuck happened?!" Daniel exclaimed jumping up

James stood silent the blood dripping down his face

Flashback
I sat in the chair, still no message from Sasha so she was probably sleeping
Fuck.
" so that's basically it, I wanted what he had and he had you, so now I'm going to take that away from him" Ashton smirked at me

" you want to fuck off ash" I seethed and he simply laughed

"You better shut the fuck up" he came closer to my face with the shiny blade
" I wouldn't do that if I were you ash " I spun round to see James at the door and I've never felt so happy even though I fucking hated him

All I remember is James fist connecting with Ashton's jar and the blade running down James face before everything went Black

We stood at the door in silence
" we're gonna get cleaned up, we will talk later" James said quietly to the couple and I nodded following behind him

He walked me into the bathroom sitting me down on the side of the bathtub as he filled it
" your face" I whispered gently cupping it in my hands
" it's nothing" he tried to shake me off but I didn't let go. I stood up sitting him in my seat as I ran a flannel under the warm water gently dabbing it to the wound. He winced every now and again but didn't tell me to stop

" I'm sorry about what happened earlier" he said looking me in the eye.

Was that today? It felt like years since the dinner with Veronica, the pang of jealously hit my stomach as I thought about it.

" leave it for now" I said as I rinsed out the bloody rag.

He nodded as he watched me rinse the blood from his face.

" il let you take a bath and chill" he stood up and I nodded as he left the room

Sashas POV

Daniel and I lay in our room cuddling and we heard footsteps outside " James?" I called out and he opened the door sticking his head round
" what's up?" He asked as I called him over, he sat down on the end of the bed " what the fuck happened?" I said looking at the cut along his face.

" me and ash got into a fight" he shrugged

" and how the fuck did he do that to your face?" Daniel asked from behind me

" he had a blade" and my eyes went wide

" you need to go to the fucking hospital James!" I said loudly and he shushed me looking behind the door

He listened out for the running water from the bathroom and relaxed.
" sash it's okay it's not deep enough it just needs to heal by itself, il be fine" he forced a smile and I nodded

" so where's ash now?" I asked

" I don't know, he's fucked up though" he frowned

" did he hurt her?" I knew I was asking lots of questions but it was a big deal

" I don't think so" he stood from the bed

" I'm gonna change, night guys il see you at breakfast" he headed for the door

" night!" Daniel and I called out before I turned and snuggled back into him

Beth's POV

I wrapped the fluffy white towel around my body and let my hair down from where I had it tied up

Today was wierd, it felt like so long since James and I had been laughing at stupid films in bed.
I padded along the landing to our room and quietly opened the door
He stood in the middle of the room halfway through taking off his shirt, a few bruises were dotted along his ribs he noticed my presence standing at the door and he gave me a half smile.

" I'm sorry I was just changing" he pulled on his joggers

" il be downstairs" he said quietly walking past me.

" okay I said quietly.

I quickly dried myself and pulled on one of his shirts that had the smell of his aftershave.

My mind still reeled over today's events and I felt so bad that he got hurt because of me, I couldn't let him sleep downstairs on the sofa.

I padded down the stairs into the living room he was sat on the sofa watching the TV.

" James?" I said standing in the frame of the door.

He stood from the chair and walked over to me frowning. " is something wrong?" He asked

My eyes travelled down to his visible bruise on his body and he did his best to cover it but I pushed his hand away " I'm sorry about all of this" and he shook his head

" this is all my fault, I really am sorry about what happened, I totally overreacted over the beau thing" and I nodded

" stay with me tonight?" I asked and he pulled me into a hug

" of course" he whispered.
