Chapter 5 - Dinner Plans

" oh really what's your girlfriends name" I practically choke out "

" Amelia we've been together almost 6 months" he looks away

I nod my head the tears stinging my eyes

I look over to beau who is frowning
' are you okay' he mouths

I nod again and stand up

" I think I'm gonna head back I don't feel so good" I mumble

James eyes burn into mine " are you okay Beth your face has went white" Anna puts her arm around me

" yeah I'm fine I just-" with that I walk away before they see

I couldn't cry in front of them all cause they would know, they would all know apart from him

As I walk home I wipe the Tears from my eyes, reflecting over James hurtful words.

Two hours later
I lay on my bed my music blasting through my headphones and my head blank

I don't know why I took this so hard, I had known him less than a day, I shouldn't be acting like this

I heard a door slam shut as I pulled the earphones From my ears, a very shifty keelie appeared at my door

"Hey" she smiled to me sitting on the edge of
My bed

I gave her a tired smile " where is everyone" I whispered " don't worry it's just me em and Sasha we couldn't let you sit here by yourself"

" I don't know why it came as such a surprise, of course he has a girlfriend look at him" I tear up

Sasha and Emily appear by my side " That's it" Sasha pulls me up " we're going to this dinner, and we're gonna make sure he knows what he's missing" she Says looking through my wardrobe

"Sash I can't sit with him while he's with his girlfriend" I sigh

"That's why we're gonna have you a date, and o know the perfect person" she grins

James POV

I don't know why I told her about Amelia, I really don't, Amelia and i were having problems and the boys knew this. I did like Beth, but amelia and I had been together a while and I couldn't just blow her off

I seen the look on beaus and Luke's face and they told me it was a dick move

" I'm just saying bro, you can't just tell us you think she's cute then go back to Amelia, you need to work this out" Luke tells me

" and what are you gonna do you told her Amelia's coming tonight" beau sits next to me

" I'm just gonna have to bring her" I shrug and they look at me like I'm a fucking phsycho

1 hour later

We were due to meet the girls at the restaurant in 20 minutes. I was just finishing getting dressed

" JAMES AMELIAS HERE" Jai called

" one second!" I yelled

As I walked downstairs I braced myself

" hey babe!" Amelia said nasally

She was dressed in shorts a barely existent shirt and vans. She looked like a makeup counter had attacked her face

" hey!" I cringed

I dunno what it is I just didn't feel the same

Jai shook his head at me rolling his eyes

" okay let's head out" we climbed into the car

Beth's POV

I slid the white dress over my head and pulled my hair to the front, I looked actually okay

" Beth Ashton's here!" Keelie called

Ashton was an old friend and he recently moved over here, it was nice to know I would have His company tonight along with all these couples

We all split into seperate cars and headed to the restraunt

" Sasha what is that on your hand!" I pointed

" it's a promise ring Daniel gave it to me" she blushed

" you guys are cute" I smiled

" I guess I should tell you all that Luke and I are gonna start seeing eacjother" Niamh announced.

We all stared at her and started cheering. " I knew it would happen!" Em exclaimed

We pulled up to the restraunt and I took a deep breath

" don't worry you'll be fine" Ashton rubbed my back as we walked inside

She was there sat there next to him hanging onto his arm laughing

He laughed back while talking to her whispering in her ear and I could feel the lump in my throat

Ashton gave my hand a squeeze and an understanding nod

James looked up at us firstly glancing at me then Ashton and our clasped hands

He gave me and Ashton a cold stare and turned back to Amelia.

We settled into our seats and started normal chat among ourselves

" he looks like he's gonna kill me " Ashton whispered into my ear and I giggle

There was a sudden bang and I look up to see James storming out.
