The Knockouts Entry
Theme: Insanity/Madness
Song: The Kill (Bury Me) by 5 Seconds to Mars-------
Silence greeted me when I sleepily opened my eyes. I blinked a couple of times to clear away the fog in my head and focused with difficultly at the white expanse that spread all around me. Still feeling disoriented from sleeping the whole day, it was almost a minute before I realized that I was lying flat on my face at the white-coloured tiles of the floor. Its cold surface brought a cool feeling to me that I couldn't help, but to close my eyes again and to savour the cold that's seeping through my skin. It was refreshing and was lifting up my senses.
I don't ever want to get up.
"Earl, get up from the floor. You look ridiculous lying there."
Her voice was laced with annoyance and irritation, but it sounded so melodious to my ears that it was lulling me back to sleep. So, I ignored her and plunged back to dreamland...The dream was amazing. It consisted of dragons flying in the sky, castles and palaces, princesses and princes! The forest was vast with lush trees covering the entire area and forest spirits hiding behind them, and the sea! Oh, the sea! I always loved the sea. It was so blue and serene and if possible, I really wanted to float in it the whole day and play with sea creatures and mermaids. I couldn't help, but be awed at how vivid the scenery was in this dream! It was a fairytale-like setting and it brought out the child in me. It made me so excited that I could almost feel my heart pounding with joy!
I almost believed that the cold wind slapping my face was indeed real, as I rode atop a large silvery-blue dragon that was winging its way across a huge kingdom. It was a magnificent view! From above, I could really tell that the kingdom was rich and prosperous: the village was bustling with business, the seaport was filled with ships, and a lot was happening inside the castle. It even looked like that there was an upcoming event that made the people so busy to even notice a large flying dragon hovering over them. And I couldn't help, but think that that dream was the best!
Since it looked like that the townspeople didn't noticed us, I veered my dragon to the direction of the castle to see what was going on. I saw that the drapes in the castle was being replaced with a fancier one, servants were busy cleaning the whole castle and literally turning it inside-out to ensure the cleanliness of the place. The ladies-in-waiting were scurrying to and fro with large bundles of cloth and the kitchen was lively with smoke.
With something this big of a preparation, it looked like a wedding is about to happen...
An amused smile worked its way onto my lips as my dragon and I circled the castle going to the south of it, where I knew a beautiful princess was waiting. I'm sure she knew what was happening. Maybe a sister of hers was about to be married. That would be marvellous!"And I'm sure she'd be surprise to see us, Blue. After three months of being away, she'd be so glad to see me. I can't wait to hear how excited she is for her sister's wedding," I said grinning at Blue as he glided towards her balcony.
In that dream, I was one of the King's dragon riders and I felt so cool riding a dragon. That was by far, my most favourite dream!
In there, it seemed that I had been away for some task to the north of the kingdom and I had been gone for three months. I had memories of a dangerous task of driving away savage intruders coming from the north, but I had easily completed the job sooner than the six-month deadline that was given to me. Now, I was back to surprise my princess.
My princess... Mine only...
With a grin on my face, I hopped down from Blue's back and landed silently at her balcony floor. The balcony door to her room was left ajar so I peeked inside. At first, I thought that there was no one in the room, so I pushed the door open and was greeted by my princess, clinging and exchanging saliva with an unknown man.
