After I said the grave was my sister's and my biggest secret, the girl told me her name was Sarah , she was the same girl who had followed me to the lookout the night before,so I told her mine was John. We are sitting on the lookout, my looking up at the sky with a somber expression, remembering things I truly wished not to and her looking proud of herself, but slightly guilty. She looked at me again and asked, "Why do you wear that mask?" I told her, "I can't tell you that yet or show you yet, it's part of the worst secret I have. It will be the last thing you hear about, for now you won't hear the story behind this mask." She says, looking a little disappointed, "Oh well, I guess I'll just have to gain your trust." She smiles at me, catching me a little off guard. I look away and ask her, " Why are you so interested in learning more about me? I have always made it a point not to stick out or make any kind of friends at school and I have never once seen or talked to you before yesterday." She looks over with a kinda of smile and says, "You may not know it, but you have quite the reputation at school with all the girls, they all think your hot and mysterious and all the boys think your a creep and killed someone, so you hide your face because you can't stand the guilt." I chuckle a little and say, "Is that why you're interested in me, because I'm "mysterious" and "hot"." She lifts her head as the sun begins to set and says, "No, I'm interested in you for another reason and now I have a question that will seem strange to you. Can you see ghosts, like not fake ones or joking, but real ghosts, can you see them and talk to them?" I look at her surprised by that question, but I answer, "Yes, I can, I have been able to for a long time, I actually have a ghost friend that visits me here at the lookout most nights. Her name is Cindy. Can you see them and talk to them?" She looks up again, "Yes I can, they say only people who have seen something terrible happen in front of them can see ghosts. So that means something terrible happen in front of you or to you." I look up at the now rising moon and I say with a somber, sad voice, "Yeah, something like that, but I can't tell you about that yet." We both continue to set there in silence, watching the moon in the night sky, until I hear a familiar laugh. I look behind me and Cindy is on the other side of the lookout, staring at us, with a thumbs up, she leaves. I laugh a little and Sarah looks at me and asks, "What's so funny?" I say while still chuckling a little bit, "Cindy just appeared, but she just gave me a thumbs up and left, I think she believes we are a couple or something." Sarah looks down and hides her face a little, but doesn't say anything. I get up and say, "Well, I'm going to go home, I guess, if you want to we can meet here again tomorrow after school." She simply nodded and I walked away in the cover of moonlight.
