The match was over. While the monsters disappeared from the field, so did the purple energy from Red and Suguha. Their purple cards had also vanished. "Thank god, that's over." Rosena said. Kurumi agreed. "Hey Red, Suguha, do you guys remember the match?" Rosena asked. Red was confused. "We had a match?!" "And by the look of things, we lost." Suguha replied. "I guess that good, right Rosena? Rosena?" When Kurumi was talking to her, it looked like she was tired. "I'm fine. But you right. Lets head back." "Yeah." They went back to their waiting room. Meanwhile, the mysterious guy left the place. "Even though they weren't defeated, it wasn't a complete waste of time. He should like the info of fighters and the prototypes."

In the room, Rosena was sleeping. "The fight must have taken alot of energy from her." Tai said. He was concerned about the situation with the purple cards. "I'm glad you guys are okay." Kurumi was silent. This was the first time she had seen him being serious. Tai saw her look and returned a smile. Then their buddies turned into balls of light. "Tai, we have things to discuss and the cards." Flare told him. "Okay, just be back in time for the match. I have a feeling that it will be a good one." "Wouldn't dream of it." Then they disappeared.

The Guardians were at there meeting place except one. "Has anyone seen Cara?" Gao asked. They shook their heads. "I haven't seen her since the introduction." Red said. "I don't think anyone has." Hearty added. "That includes Kotaro." He was just seating with his eyes closed and arms crossed. "Well Guardians," Flare started to say. "I'm sure you felt the presence of the threat today." They agreed. "It seems like new monsters are coming and just judging by the two, their ability isn't something to play around with." "The ability to copy, just like a shadow." Galiazond said. "I guess that name suits them." "Netherless, we need to be on watch for more of these 'Shadow Strikers'." Flare declared. "Hey Flare." Gao called. "Yes." "Do you think that our new power is a result of the threat?" "What do you mean?" "Think about it. We suddenly started to gain new abilities. Like Galiazond and I for instance. We never had these power before. We suddenly feel an energy boost while training, next thing you know we're evolved. Shoot, Red and Card Burn can merge together." "Maybe, we always had the power but just never used it." Red said. Galiazond agreed. "Everyone has the potential to further improve themselves, including us." "Well said Galiazond. Also our bonds with our partners could be a major factor. Especially with the Soul-Link ability. So let use this power to stop the threat!" "Right!" "Dismiss. And Kotaro." He turned to look at Flare. At a desserted building, the mysterious guy took a knee in front of a boy in a throne. "The prototypes worked fine, I just gave them to the wrong fighters." A man appeared next to the throne. "How were they defeated?" "By two girls with the names Rosena Thompson and Kurumi Natsuko." "Did you say Rosena?" The man started to get angry. "Why, that traitor is ruining our plans?!" The boy raised his hand. "Calm, Roderick. I know you want revenge and the time will come. We're just testing. And it seems like our toys have passed." "Yes milord." "Now Henry for your next assignment, I need you to spread this new world, worldwide. Do you understand?" "Yes milord." He handed him a deck of purple cards. "Now go." "Right!" He got and left. While walking out, his buddy was walking beside him. "This is a big task. Are you ready?" "Cara, you know I'll do anything for strength. So I will do this." "I know.
