Newt's POV
What has the life become? The first thing i remember is loving Bailey and the last thing i remember is leaving her. How can this be happening? I stare at her on the screen and Chuck comes up behind me.
"Hey Newt are you okay?" he says. I just look at him then quickly turn toward the screen. I feel him touch my shoulder but i ignore it. Suddenly Thomas comes running in and looks at Chuck.
"Chuck i told you! Where is my food?!" he screams. Chuck looks scared and then runs to go get it. I am still looking at Bailey.
"You do know it was your choice to leave her." Thomas says. I slowly turn my head and stare at him, this was all his fault, how dare he blame me. I swing my arm around me and knock him out. Chuck comes back in and screams when he sees Thomas on the floor.
"Newt!! What did you do?" he screams. I look down at Thomas and then again at the screen. There is a little button that i notice with a microphone. I press the button and a speaker pops up in the glade. I smile and start to speak,
"Bailey? Can you hear me?" I say. Her head immediately turns to the sky and says,
"Newt? Is that you?" She says. I start to cry.
"Bailey it is me, i have missed you so much!" i say through tears. Her face turns red,
"Then why did you leave me?" she says. That hurt,
"Bailey i don't have to explain, i will be taken away shortly but i need to tell you something." She nods,
"Bailey i left you to save you and i love you so much. I will try my hardest to get you out of here no matter what it takes. I love you Bailey don't you give up on me and..." It puts short and there i see a very angry Thomas.
"You are done talking to her." he says. I look at Bailey and she is screaming,
"And what?! Newt??!!" My heart breaks. Thomas tries to pull me away but i press the button for the last time and scream,
"Bailey check your pocket!" and thats when everything turns black.
Bailey's POV
I cant believe that i heard Newt, but what did he mean by check your pocket. I reach my hand into my pocket and pull out a small sheet of paper, all I'm thinking is how i got this. I open it up and start reading,
"My precious Bailey, if you are reading this then i have managed to reach to you or you just decided to check your pocket. I am so sorry for the way things ended with us. I overheard Thomas about taking me and Chuck to a place called the scorch. If you make it to the end of the maze then you will be put with us. It is your decision to come with us or live in the maze the rest of your life. I understand if you don't want to be with me but i love you and i do want to marry you and have kids. So please Bailey make your decision and make it quick because Thomas is bringing us by the end of the week. I love you and don't forget me." attached to the note was a picture that i clearly remember, the first time we met. I looked at the note and then into the maze. I had made my decision,
I'm going into the scorch.
