You had no idea what time it was, but it hasn't been long since Mae left. You felt as if you had lost all hope. 'What if they never find me? But they had to have known that I didn't write that note. They know I'm not the type to do something like that, right?' You squirmed around in the uncomfortable chair and felt like you had to pee. You desperately looked around for someone and you heard footsteps.
"Hello!" You called. "Anyone?" The creepy guy from earlier opened the door.
"What?" He spat.
"I have to go to the bathroom." You said.
"Well, I can't let you ou-"
"Please?! I really have to go! You know what it's like to have a full bladder, don't you?" He sighed and came over.
"Fine, make it fast." He untied you. You could probably run away right there, but you wanted to gain his trust first. He led you down out into the hall and to the bathroom. You were about to close the door, but he stopped you. "I have to keep an eye on you."
"Well I can't use the bathroom with you looking at me." You said. "Are you a pervert?!" His eyes widened.
"N-No! I just- never mind, take your time." He pulled the door closed and you went pee in piece. You didn't want to be tied up to that chair again, so you took a while just standing around, trying to figure a way out. You remembered passing a door on the way here, that could be a possible way out. You opened the bathroom door and the creepy guy was waiting impatiently.
"I said to make it fast."
"But then you said to take your time." You corrected. He huffed and grabbed your wrist. "W-wait." You said.
"What?"
"Um, there's a leak in the bathroom." You said.
"I'll look at it later."
"N-no, I think you should do it now. You don't want the water bill to go up, do you?" He sighed.
"Fine."
He let go of you and walked into the bathroom. You took the opportunity to slip away and found the door you passed. You slowly opened it and it was a huge room full of storage with other door on the other side. You quietly closed the door behind you and ran to the other door. You slowly opened it and saw the outside. A large field to be exact. You could see the edge of the city in the distance. 'I'm free!' You didn't think again and ran out as fast as you could. Bad idea. You didn't check your surroundings first and as you ran, you heard yells behind you. Your eyes widened and you kept running.
"Get her!" You put your mind into running , but you weren't fast enough. Someone tackled you onto the ground and the wind got knocked out of you. "You think you're slick?" The man picked you up and dragged you back to the building. You earned yourself a few smacks across the face for screaming. When you got back inside, you were thrown to Mae's feet.
"Well, well, well, looked what the cat dragged in." She said. She squatted down to your level. "I can't believe you would try to escape. I mean, I thought you were better than that." She smacked you and your head whipped to the side. You stayed like that, breathing heavy. "Run away again and I'l kill you right then. You're lucky I don't kill you now." I picked you up by your hair and pushed you into someone. "Put her back in the chair." Suddenly, you could hear noises. Everyone was quiet because it sounded like police sirens. "Hurry, now!" Mae yelled. The man quickly took you back to the room. He tied you to the chair and pushed you far away from the door before putting layers of duct tape on your mouth. The sirens were getting louder and you heard a door being rammed into.
"Police, put your hands up!" Your eyes widened and you lifted your head. "Where is (y/n)?"
"Who?" Of course Mae would play dumb.
"Go search around." The officer said. You heard heavy foot steps and you screamed in your mouth. You stomped your feet on the ground and tried to make as much noise as possible. Your prayers were answered and the door opened to reveal a police officer.
"I found her!" He yelled. He came over to you and untied you and you took the tape off of your mouth. "Come on, you're safe now." You saw a ton of officers taking all of the men involved in handcuffs. You looked around for the one person you cared to see get arrested, Mae. She saw you look at her and she narrowed her eyes.
"You'll see me again." She said before ducking into the cop car. A wave of relief washed over you as you saw Seokmin and your parents run up to you. They all engulfed you in a hug and you cried.
"Your face! What did they do to you?!" Your mom brushed her fingers across your cheeks where you were slapped and you winced. The paramedics treated your wounds and you were able to go home. When you got home, you went straight to your room and fell to the floor. You were processing everything that happened and started crying.
"(Y/n)?" Seokmin opened your door and saw you. Without a word, he came over and hugged you. You cried into his chest and he held you closer. He let you get all of your emotions out, and when you were done, you still hugged Seokmin and wiped your eyes. "Come on." He whispered. You both stood up and he led you to your bed. It was probably around 3am and you were exhausted. You got under your cover and pulled Seokmin in with you. He didn't say a word and got in. Your room was dimly lit with your desk lamp and you cuddled into his arms, closing your eyes.
"How did you find me?" You mumbled.
"I knew it wasn't you who wrote the letter so I called Mae pretending I didn't know anything and the police were able to trace where her phone was." You didn't say anything and it was quiet for a while. "I'm sorry." He whispered.
"What for?"
"For not being there and giving you the cold shoulder."
"You didn't do anything wrong." You said.
"I did though. I should've taken this Mae thing more seriously. I should've been here to protect you at all times." He had his arm around you and pulled you closer. "I shouldn't have let her hurt you." He whispered, looking down at you. His gaze made your heart skip a beat and you looked back into his eyes. He stared made it's way to your lips and you blushed. He started leaning in and you tilted your head up. Without another word, your lips touched. You took the arm you weren't laying on and brought it to his cheek. You pulled away, your lips smacking as you did. You smiled weakly and got in a more comfortable position.
"Sleep in here tonight." You said.
"But what would your parents think?"
"Don't worry about them right now, just don't leave me."
