You and Seokmin went off together, your parents just said to meet them at the front when you're done. You still had your arm linked with Seokmin's as you were passing the shark tank. As soon as Seokmin looked over, he jumped back in surprise when he saw a shark right at the window, looking at him. You started laughing and pat his shoulder to calm him down.
"Oh, that scared me!" He said, clutching his heart.
"I know, I can tell."
"I don't know how people can volunteer themselves to be put in a tank with sharks." He said.
"I should put Mae in a tank with sharks." You mumbled.
"What was that?"
"Oh, nothing." You kept walking through and looking at all the fish and whatnot. You started to see signs for the dolphin tank. You repeatedly tapped Seokmin's arm.
"Ooh, the dolphins! Let's go see them!" Seokmin laughed at your sudden child like behavior as you dragged him down into the dome. It was dark with the only light coming from the entrance and from the top of the tank. You let go of Seokmin's arm and walked up and put your hand on the glass. You saw the dolphins swimming around each other and smiled. You saw one close to you and you started waving. To your surprise, it started waving back. "Seokmin, look at it's little flipper!" You said, getting excited. "I wish I was a dolphin." You said, pouting. Suddenly, Seokmin started waving his hands like flippers and made dolphin noises. "No, no, they sound like ee ee ee!" You said, also waving your hands.
"Like, ee ee ee?" You both laughed.
"Yeah." It was nice to see a more playful side of Seokmin, you knew he was holding back. After you were done, you met your parents in the gift shop at the front.
"Oh, hey kids, did you have fun?" Your dad asked.
"Yup. Where's mom?"
"She's over there looking at the shot glasses." You started laughing.
"(Y/n), look!" You turned to see Seokmin with an octopus hat on.
"Aw, I want one!" You got a few things from the gift shop, then went back in the car to go home. You and Seokmin wore your octopus hats out and played with your light up rings. "I could kill someone with this." You said, swinging your little velvet bag of colorful rocks around.
"Be careful." He said, leaning away a little bit, making you laugh. When you got home, you put your stuff in your rooms, then your dad called you and Seokmin to the back yard.
"Hey, um, (y/n), you know that mine and your mom's anniversary next Saturday, right?"
"Oh yeah! Don't tell me you didn't pick out a gift yet." You said.
"No no, I did, I just um, I need you and Seokmin to leave the house that night. I'm gonna take her out to dinner, then we're gonna come back here and, uh-"
"Dad! Ew! Okay, I get the idea. Do you want us to be gone the whole night?"
"If possible, yeah."
"Well where are we supposed to go?"
"I don't know, spend the night at a friends." You gasped and leaned close to him, motioning for him to come closer.
"With Seokmin? But he's a boy." You whispered, blushing slightly. He waved it off.
"He's good, you'll be fine." You shrugged.
"Alright." The next Saturday, you and Seokmin went to Sophia's house. Her parents were gone that weekend anyway. When you pulled into her drive way, you silently prayed that Mae didn't just so happen to see you since she lives a few houses down from Sophia, unfortunately.
"Yay, sleepover!" Sophia yelled as she opened the front door. "Come in, come in!" You went and put your bag in Sophia' room and Seokmin was going to sleep in the guest room. "Okay, first things first, I already ordered the pizza, it's on the way." She said. You sighed in relief.
"Oh thank god. I'm starving!" You yelled. You could see Seokmin looked a little out of place. "Seokmin, you remember Sophia, right." He smiled and nodded. You and Sophia have classes together, but not with Seokmin, so he doesn't really know her well like you do. Once the pizza got there, you dug in while watching the classic, Mean Girls. Seokmin had never seen in before and thought it was funny. When it started getting late, you went and changed into your pajamas. When you came out of her room and went to the living room, Sophia and Seokmin were leaning really close together. You raised an eyebrow.
"She's back!" Sophia whispered. She hurried up and scooted away from Seokmin.
"(Y/n), c-can you go to my room and get my phone?" She asked.
"But you just had it out here." You said. She put on a confused face.
"Um, no, I left it in my room, can you go get it please?" She batted her eyelashes. You just shrugged.
"Okay."
"And don't come back until you find it!" She called after you.
'That was weird.' You went into her room and looked for her phone. Maybe she did leave it in here. You looked around a little bit, but could't find it. 'Was she just trying to get me to leave?' You went back to the living room quietly to try to listen to what they were saying. They were talking pretty quietly, so you couldn't hear what they were saying. Then Sophia started giggling then pulled away.
"(Y/n)! Never mind, I found it!" She yelled. You waited a few seconds before walking out there.
"I knew it wasn't in there." You said.
"Sorry." You didn't question them about anything and just went on with the night. It kind of bothered you though. 'I'm not jealous.' You thought, as you pictured Sophia and Seokmin being all close.
'I can't be jealous, he's not even my boyfriend.' Your heart skipped a beat at the word 'boyfriend'. You shook your head. 'No, stop, he's like my brother in a sense. But he is cute, and funny, and- no!' You started ruffling your hair. Sophia was sound asleep next to you, so she wasn't there to judge you. You sighed. 'What are these feelings?'
