'What the hell is Mae doing in this class?!' You thought. She saw you and gave you a smile which changed into a smirk when she saw Seokmin. She bounced her way over to the empty seat behind him. You rolled your eyes and rubbed your temples.
"I'm sorry, are we boring you, Miss (y/n), correct?" Mr.Henry asked. You gave him a small smile.
"No, no, proceed." You said. As he finished introducing himself and the class, he passed out the syllabus and gave you the rest of the time to just talk. Mae wasted no time trying to talk to Seokmin. You turned to talk to him but Mae tapped him on the shoulder.
"Seokmin, right?" She asked. He nodded and smiled awkwardly. He looked at you with a questioning face. You just shrugged and sighed. Mae was trying too hard to get close to him. She played with her hair, popped her gum, kept touching his arms and kept leaning forward to show off her breasts. You watched the clock, waiting for the bell to ring. Once it did, you hopped out of your seat and grabbed Seokmin.
"Come on, I'll walk you to your next class." You said. Mae gave you a dirty look.
"It was nice talking to you Seokmin!" She called. You rolled your eyes and walked out with Seokmin trailing behind you.
"So how was it talking to Mae?" You asked.
"She was," He paused for a second. "Nice." He finished. You almost choked on air.
"What? Her, nice?" 'Are you blind?'
"Yeah, seemed pretty welcoming. Why did you tell me to stay away from her?" You didn't want to scare him or anything right now, so you didn't tell him.
"Um, it's complicated, but if she ever starts acting, I don't know, weird, tell me okay?"
"Weird how?"
"Oh look, we're at your class. I'll see you at lunch." You waved to him then sped to your class. Once lunched rolled around, you went and picked Seokmin up from his class so you can walk together. You turned the corner and saw him walking out with Mae.
'Are you serious?'
"I don't have this lunch period, so I'll see you later Seokmin!" She said. She turned and started walking your way, smirking at you as she passed. You scoffed and went to Seokmin.
"She's in this class too?" You asked, unamused.
"Yeah. I don't know why you have a problem with her, she's really sweet." You cringed.
'You'll see sooner or later.' You had one other class with Seokmin, thankfully without Mae, but your last class of the day, of course you had with her. When you walked in a saw her, you sighed and sat as far away from her as possible. She smirked and moved over right behind you.
"Hi, bestie." She said.
"We're not friends." You said, not bothering to turn around.
"Ooh, a little feisty today are we?" You sighed and turned around.
"What do you want?"
"Oh, nothing in particular. Seokmin's pretty cute, huh?"
"Don't even think about it."
"Think about what?" She asked innocently.
"I know your game. You whore around with every guy you see. You lure the nice ones in with your disgusting charm then break their hearts when you're bored with them. You seriously mess them up, and you're not doing that to Seokmin."
"Why I have no idea what you're talking about dear."
"Stop playing stupid. Oh wait, you're not playing, that's how you always are." Her face turned serious.
"Okay listen, you and Seokmin may be buddy buddy, but you better not try anything with him." You scoffed.
"I should be telling you that. I swear, if you ever broke his heart, I will-" You paused and she laughed.
"You'll what? Tell on me?" Flashbacks came back to you from when she bullied you in middle school. She would push you, pull your hair, trip you, and when you told on her, she came back months later and fought you which resulted in you getting seriously hurt. "You don't want a repeat of what happened last time, do you?" She sat back, crossing her arms.
"I'm not scared of you. I'll take you, and your little bimbo barbie posse, and rearrange those those disgusting make up cakes you call faces." You said. She smirked.
"I'd like to see you try, bitch."
"Slut."
"Alright class, settle down." Your teacher interrupted and started class. After school was over, you left the room without another word to Mae and went to find Seokmin. You texted him, telling him to meet you in the parking lot. When he got there, you both got in your car and went back home. Neither of your parents were home since they both work. You and Seokmin got some snacks and sat on the couch.
"So how did you like your first day?" You asked.
"It was nice, I already made a few friends." You smiled.
"That's good." You felt your phone vibrated next to you and you picked it up.
'I hope you don't think you scared me off.' The message read.
'What the hell, Mae?' You thought. 'How did you get my number?' You replied.
'Don't worry about that. Just know that you haven't seen the last of me. I'll get Seokmin, I always get what I want honey.'
'Over my dead body.'
'That can be arranged.'
'Don't text me anymore.' She sent another text but you ignored her. Seokmin noticed the sour look on your face.
"What's wrong?" He asked. You quickly fixed your expression.
"Oh, nothing." 'Getting rid of Mae might be a little harder than I thought.'
