Michael Clifford.
It's him.
I looked up at him, his green eyes met mine. He wore sunglasses, a black jacket with a white top. His hair is black now, what a surprised. I felt like punching him and hug him at the same time. I've been trying to avoid and stop talking to him but now he's here, at my work. How the hell he knew where I work at?
"What are you doing here?" I asked him, avoiding his eye contact now and walked away to the Science Fiction books as he followed me.
"I found you. You can't avoid me again." He grabbed my arm before I could walk anywhere further. He turned me around and stopped me from doing anything.
"I'm not avoiding you." I gazed my eyes everywhere but him. I don't want to look at him and feel guilty that I've been avoiding him for these past weeks.
"Yes you are. You've been avoiding me for weeks and it's driving me insane! What happened to us? What happened to the old you? You've changed and you don't even answer my calls or my text, why?" He let go of my arm, trying to make eye contact with me.
"Please, not here. Can we talk about this later? I don't want to get fired." I looked for my boss, if he saw me talking and not doing my job, I'm so done.
"Listen, your job is not what matters right now. I can get you a job in the world, all I want is to talk to you. I know you won't meet me if I showed up in front of your house and so, just tell me what did I do?" He grabbed the books from my hands and tossed it on the floor - angered.
"That's the problem! All things that doesn't matter in your life matters to me! This is the only job that I have and I don't want to lose it, I don't want you to give me a job either! Please leave right now. You're making a scene and my boss will noticed it." I kneeled down and picked up the books - feeling absolutely crushed. I get a lump on my throat and feeling like burst out crying and screaming on the spot but I can't.
"You mattered to me! Why can't you understand that? You are the girl that I want and I care about you but you keep pushing me away. Please don't be a girl that 'playing too hard to get' because I already got you when I texted you at the first place." His voice is getting louder and louder now.
"I'm not playing too hard to get! Why can't you understand that I don't like you and please, stop bothering me!" I pushed him as I walked passed him and I heard him let out a sigh. I shut my eyes and I felt a tap on my shoulder - assuming that's my boss.
I slowly opened my eyes, expect to see an older guy that is my boss but it's Michael who is in front of me. I just felt like yelling at him but his lips crashed into mine and his hands on my jaw-neck that shuts me up. I squeezed my eyes as I felt a tear rolled down on my cheeks. I feel defeated.
I am defeated.
