Forced Lies

Chapter 4

Samuel's POV:

My eyes widened as she told me she liked me, but how could she? How could a amazing girl like her like a guy like me? I thought.  We sat in awkward silence for a while then Star left, 'Well.. This is awkward so i'm gonna leave..." She raced out of the room.

Maddie spoke up before I did, "Hey -uh Samuel you ok?" she asked.

I assured her, "Yeah..."

"You sure? You seem kind of quiet...." She said.

I answered, "Yeah, just kind of shocked..."

"Why? If anyone should be shocked it should be me!" She replied while blushing.

I answered,"B-because you σαν κι εμένα .." I blushed.

She giggled. "Um, English please?" She requested.

"I said because you σαν me..." I sighed, it was hopeless, I was gonna get out a whole sentence without slipping into Greek now, I thought to myself.

She giggles again, wow her giggle was cute! "C'mon, you're so close!" She said.

I laugh, "Be-because y-you l-like me..." I told her while blushing.

" W-Why are you s-shocked?" She asked.

"B-because your a A-M-A-Z-I-N-G girl and I'm just a regular guy," I replied.

She giggled, "If anyone should be shocked it should be me.." She blushed. "I mean how can a guy so perfect like a girl like me?" She asked

I smiled, "Me? I'm not perfect at all, you're probably more perfect than me..." I informed her.

"No way am I perfect, I am to shy.. I can't even look someone in the eye," she said

I assured her, "You don't seem that shy.. I mean sometimes I can't even speak a whole sentence in English!"

She giggled, "I kind of like it when you don't speak English..." She told me, "It makes you seem smart," she whispers the last part but I still heard her, "and cute too...."

"More like I have a problem..." I mumbled.

Maddie laughed, "You don't have a problem!"

"Okay, fine! We're getting no where though..." I reminded her.

Maddie replied, "You're right..." She reached out and grabbed my hand, "And I can help you with your problem, if you want." She smiled and I smiled back

"Okay," I said, this could not get anymore awkward...

Maddie looked at me and asked, "Okay, so what is going on with us?"

"I don't know..." I replied.

"We can't stay in the awkward stage forever," she reasoned.

I sighed, "I know.. But we don't even know that much about each other.." I said," I mean, we just met a week ago.. I just know your really nice and awesome and I-I li-like you..."

"Yeah... and I really like you too!" She assured me, "So why don't we get to know each other?"

"Okay!" I said cheerfully, "What's your favorite color?"

She replied, "Green, like a forest green... What about you?"

"Blue..." I told her.

"Cool!" she said. "Do you have any brothers or sisters?"

I replied, "Yeah... three, you know the one is Jeremy, then I have a older sister named Elizabeth. Then I have a younger sister named Melody. What about you?"

"I've got one brother his name is Cole, he's 18 and goes to this school.. I never see him though cause he always has homework..." she trailed off

"Wow! So..." I said, "What do you like to do in your free time?"

She replied, "I love to sing and play the guitar... You?"

"That's awesome!" I told her, "I also like playing the guitar, but I also enjoy hanging with friends and walking in the forest."

She exclaimed, "I like doing those things too!"

I check my phone, "Wow it's 4 P.M. I feel like it's still 3:3...." I say," and why am I still shirtless? It's no longer school time!" I tell her while digging in my bag for my shirt. I find it and slip it on. "Finally! So what you wanna do now?"

"I say we try to figure out where Aspen, Daniel, and Avis went.. What do you think of that?" she asked

I replied, "That's fine with me!" I was really happy she suggested it, cause I hate secrets...

"LETS GO FOR IT!" she stood up and grabbed my hand. We ran towards the closest exit which was at the back of the school and we ran out of it. "Uh, where now?"

I heard a yell come from the front of the school, "Somethings going on at the front," I told her as I grabbed her hand cause she had let go and we started running to the front.. I saw Aspen in a black outfit and a gun chasing a guy.. and Daniel was also wearing a black outfit and also had a gun... "Wait.. are they spies?" I asked Maddie even though I doubt she knew anymore than me.

" I- I think so.." She says sounding terrified as Aspen shoots at the guy

Aspen yelled, "STOP! You ex-agent are going to jail!"

The guy replied, "HELL NO!" and started running faster but so did Daniel and he caught up to the guy and handcuffed him.

"Come on sis, they are waiting," he reminded Aspen

I yelled very stupidly, "WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON?!?"

Aspen said, "Ah crap! Uh -ROLE PLAY! Right Daniel?"

Daniel replied, "Uh -right! C'mon sis, aunt Jess wants her husband back..." He trailed off and then they jumped in a black car and drove away.

"Well, they were obviously lying!" I told Maddie, but then Avis comes running up.

"Damn it! You guys......." Then she sees me and Maddie staring at her with wide eyes,"Uh hi guys.."

" Yo-you.." Maddie stumbled on her words.

I said, "I think what she is trying to say is, you guys lied to us! You're not who we think you are!"

"Guys.. This wasn't supposed to happen! I'm sorry but you either have to become agents now or die..." She trailed off,holding up her gun so it was aimed at us.
