Maddie's POV:
Jeremy darted out of the room fast. I feel really bad for him. His girlfriend, the one he loved with his life lied to him. With something so big. I sighed and lay back on the floor, cradling my arm in my other arm. I really hope we make it out okay... Or at least alive...
Surprisingly, Jeremy was back rather quickly. He had silent tears streaming down his face and he looked like he had seen someone die.
"Jeremy what happened?'' I asked him standing up and walking over to him. He just stood there, tears streaming down his face. I hugged hi tight with one arm.
"They left....." he said, sitting on the floor with a plop. Wait what?
"They left?" Sam asks, confused like me. Jeremy silently nodded, staring into space. I look at Sam a bit amazed. I see a face that is just as amazed as I am looking back at me. We sat in silence just analizing the situation.
"I'm sorry Jeremy..." I whisper to him. He just nodded, not showing any emotion except for the deep deep sadness and betrayal in his eyes that could not be hidden. Silence.
"Hey guys..." said sam, breaking the somberness pressing on our ears. "I guess I should tell you why we have a secret room."
Jeremy's POV:
She left me... She lied to me... And then she left me.... Just like that... I thought she loved me... I put my head in my hands, taking deep breaths trying not to hyperventilate.
"Hey guys..." I heard Sam say. I looked up to find him looking at us with a serious expression on his face. "I guess I should tell you why we have a secret room." He repositioned himself. I watched Maddie scoot closer to him.
"Ok, well, it has something to do with what happened to Dad... So Maddie you know how we saw them as agents? Well that's what happened to my Dad they chased him. Like they did to us.. But they killed him... I saw the agents.. My mom was scared they would come for us when we were older so she had this made... My mom is probably gonna have us move again..."
I sat there in shock. Wait, that is how dad died?
"Wait that's why we moved away from europe and came to america?" I asked, the pieces falling together. Sam nodded.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier Jeremy. I did not want to tell you until I had to. " said Sam, looking at me with sympathy.
"Oh my gosh..." said Maddie. "I am so sorry...." She hugs him tight and he hugs her back.
"I-If we move...I-I may never see you again Maddie..." he says, his voice hitching. Maddie pulled away, looking at him.
"Wait... what? Never see me again..." I see tears starting to form in her eyes. "No... I can't loose you." Wait, huh?
"Since when did you two get so close?" I asked confused. Sam and Maddie looked at each other.
Maddie's POV:
"Since when did you two get so close?" Asks Jeremy. My eyes grow wide.
"Uh...." said Sam, at loss for words. I can feel myself blushing.
"Well... you see.... at school..." I stutter, hoping he gets the jist of it.
"After you left school." added Sam sounding a bit irritated.
"Oh yeah..." said Jeremy, pulling out his phone and texting someone. I turn to Sam.
"Please don't leave..." I say, embracing him again. He hugs me back before pulling away, realizing something.
''Your mom must be really worried." he said. Oh shoot my mom. "We can either tell her the truth or lie to her..."
"She is going to die when she sees my arm..." I say, unwrapping it slowly to see the bloody mangled thing that is my arm.
"No, you need to keep it wrapped." said Sam, winding the bloody cloth back around my arm. But then Jeremy had to point out the obvious: "Wont they hunt us again if we leave?"
Jeremy's POV:
"When you left school," said Sam, implication in his voice. Oh yeah. I pull out my phone and text Aspen.
Jeremy:What Just happened? Am I hallucinating? And why did you shoot my brother?
Aspen: I didn't shoot your brother! I would never! It was my cousin Ashton!
J: Why did you push me away? And will they hunt us of we tell Maddie's mom what happened? AND WHAT ARE WE SUPOSSED TELL EVERYONE AT SCHOOL?!? You left us to explain to evryone! But we can't tell them the truth.. I cant lie!
A: Tell them the truth. Say me and Avis and Daniel died.
J: But you didn't...
A: I'm sorry jeremy... In five minutes me and Daniel and Avis will be dead. If you see my mom, tell her "55 Godess".
J: Why will you be dead?!?! I won't allow it!
"Guys, Aspen, Daniel and Avis want to kill themselves." I say.
"Wait, what? Why are they doing this?" asks Maddie fear in her eyes. I shrug my shoulders, not knowing. Seeing Aspen has not responded I text her again.
J: Why will you guys be dead? Were you being killed? I'm not allowing that!
Aspen's POV:
We land the helicopter outside of a forest, next to a beautiful waterfall so we could have a break before we head back to H.Q. I climb out, shaky, trying to think of something, anything I could do... I look around at the beautiful land scape around me. Ugh. It is so perfect here. Why can't my life just be semi perfect. Just for once. I feel Daniel come up behind me, putting his arm around me, Avis coming to stand on my other side. I lean my head on Daniel's shoulder, just wishing for the pain to end... Everything to end. Wait...
I whisper something in Daniel's ear and his eyes grow wide, then small, then he nods slightly. I say the same thing to Avis. She has no emotional respond. All she does is walk to the waterfall. I get a text from Jeremy asking me what happened. I begin texting him. Might as well savor it as it lasts. My last conversation with him...
A: I'm sorry jeremy... In five minutes me and Daniel and Avis will be dead. If you see my mom, tell her "55 Godess".
Before he could reply, I closed my phone and stuck it in my back pocket. I don't need to reply to him any more. I walk over to where Daniel and Avis are standing at the edge of the waterfall. I feel Daniel take my right hand and Avis, for the first time ever, take my left. I hold onto their hands tight, smiling a bit. Looking behind me, I don't see any of the crew. Now is our chance. I hear my phone ding a couple times in my pocket. I want to open it, call Jeremy, hear him tell me it will be okay... But it won't, and I know that. Taking a deep breath, I glance at Daniel and Avis. They both nod their heads.
"One.." whispers Daniel.
"Two..." whispers Avis.
"Three." I bend my knees and jump off of the cliff, down towards the rushing water and jagged rocks of the waterfall below.
