Forced Lies

Chapter 13

Star's POV:

Ignoring the guy who had just come in, I put my head in my hands, taking a deep breathe. All I have to do is forget about Daniel. I mean he never meant anything to me anyways. Right...? I sigh, running my hands through my black and blue streaked hair. Maybe love wasn't as easy as I thought it was. The boy, Shadow, sighed too, maybe a bit louder than one usually would. Getting the signal he was sending, I turn to him, giving him my attention.

"Love issues are always hard," Shadow continued, as if nobody had interrupted us, half smiling at me sympathetically. "I get you. I am having love issues at the moment too." I felt a smile creep across my face. Who knew a stranger could get me to smile so quickly. At least I wasn't the only one who felt like they were dying inside.

"Well then Shadow, would you like to wallow in our sorrows together so as not to feel as alone?" I ask, grinning. He chuckled, his laugh unique, sending a chill down my spine.

"Sure, that sounds like the most of fun." he replied, scooting his chair closer to mine, putting his hand onto of mine, sending more chills down my spine.

Jeremy's POV:

Well, this Tyler guy seems like quite the character. He kept wiggling his eyebrows at me and winking at me. Rolling my eyes, I turned my back to him, trying to keep my mind from Aspen. I need to just forget about her. At least for the time being. I need a distraction.

Looking around, I see Sam and Maddie talking, seeming invested in a conversation. Best not to bother them. I see Star and some random dude talking. Star is smiling too. That is good. Probably shouldn't interrupt them.

My eyes fall upon the girl I had talked to earlier. The one with the blonde, almost white hair and deep brown eyes. Actually a pretty contrast. I walk back over to her, smiling.

"So you said your name was Kikiomo right?" I ask, sitting down at the desk next to her. She smiled slightly.

"Yeah, but I like Kiki better. Sound more cool I guess. I'm not sure." She said, her face falling a bit. She shrugged her shoulders. I smiled.

"Well I think it is the coolest name I have ever heard. I have never heard of that name before. It sounds awesome." I say, hoping to cheer her up. She smiled. Yes. Success.

"Yeah, I guess it is," she said, her eyes looking me over. "What did you say your name was?"

"Oh," I said, sitting up a bit straighter. "My name is Jeremy. Jeremy Greenfield."

Shadow's POV:

I let out a snort as Star told me about a game of Truth or Dare they had played earlier.

"Did he really have his shirt off for the whole class?!" I ask in disbelief. She nodded, silent laughter coming from her mouth.

"Yeah," she breathed. "And Miss Bullock let him too! She didn't even ask about it!" I started laughing again and this time I couldn't stop. It just kept coming.

"I don't think I have laughed this hard in like, forever." I say after I calmed down. Star smiled.

"Well I feel honored to be the one to make you laugh your butt off." she said, standing up and bowing a few times, blowing kisses to her "fans", making me laugh even harder. This was going to be an interesting next hour. 

Kikiomo's POV:

"Jeremy. Jeremy Greenfield." My eyes widen in disbelief.

"Greenfield? Like Samuel Greenfield?" I ask. I saw the light go out in his eyes.

"Oh, yeah, he is my brother. My older brother," Jeremy replied a bit dejectedly. I gasp.

"Woah! You are so lucky to have him as your brother." I say. Jeremy shrugs.

"Eh, I would rather have another older sister."
