The high school >
Maddie's POV:
"Jeremy, truth or dare?" I ask my new friend. He pretends to think for a moment before answering dare. Now it is my turn to think, hm, what can I do to embarrass him? Ooh, I know just what to make him do. I laugh evilly which made everyone look at me weirdly.
"I dare you to climb on this table and cluck like a chicken!" I shout. Everyone laughs at the dare while Jeremy looks at me like I am crazy. We are in the middle of lunch and the cafeteria is full and busy, this is a perfect humiliating dare and I was feeling callous right now.
"Jeremy, stop being such a wimp!" Aspen teased, gesturing for him to get on the table.
"It's not that easy," said Jeremy, glaring at Aspen.
"Well then, hurry up and do it," Samuel encouraged, leaning back in his seat, looking at Jeremy expectantly. Jeremy sighed and climbed carefully onto the table, trying not to step on any food (which he did). He began dancing around like a chicken, clucking loudly. We all laughed loudly as the cafeteria just stared at him. I saw Aspen take out her phone and secretly take a picture of her boyfriend as she bit her lip, trying not to laugh so much. When he stops, Jeremy climbs down, blushing like a maniac.
I go to sit by my new Italian/Greek friend, who is editing the photo on her phone so that Jeremy is wearing a chicken suit. I try to conceal giggles, but I don't do a very good job at it.
"So, Maddie, truth or dare." I look up from Aspen's phone, where she is adding a speech bubble that says "Cluck Cluck!".
"Dare!" I say, sitting up straight. Jeremy begins thinking. Knowing he is no threat to me, I turn to Star and begin talking about random things.
A billion years later, "I got it!" exclaimed Jeremy. I turn to look at him, amusement on my face.
"Okay, Maddie, I dare you to skip over to the popular table and say, 'I LOVE UNICORNS AND RAINBOWS AND LOLLIPOPS!' then skip away singing 'LALALALALA'!" Jeremy grinned, obviously pretty proud of himself. I laugh in amusement, he can't give good dare. Never has, never will. Unless -- I don't know.
"That's it," asked Star, "nothin' else?" Jeremy looked at her weird. I stood up and walked over to the popular people.
"I LIKE UNICORNS AND RAINBOWS AND LOLLIPOPS!" I hug each of them and skip away singing the tune from the dare. Sitting back down at the table, I fold my hands in my lap and look at Jeremy with an amused face. He just stares at me in shock as I giggle at his face. Samuel, on the other hand, falls over laughing and I watch him roll on the floor. Gosh he is so cute...
I turn to look at Star and ask, "Star, Truth or Dare?"
"DARE!" she replies automatically. Star is the dare devil of the group, you could say. She takes risks, and is very strong minded. I have the perfect dare for her.
"I dare you to go to the bathroom, stick a bunch of toilet paper in your pants, and leave it there 'till the end of school!" Without another word, Star walks away to the bathroom. She returns with a huge lump in her pants.
"Wow, walking in the halls is gonna be fun for you." Daniel says, laughing. Star stares mildly at him before turning back to me.
"Maddie, Truth or Dare?" Why am I getting all the dares? It's not like I'm going to die and never be able to do a dare again.
"Dare" I answered, trying to keep a straight face.
"I dare you to go get a hamburger and stick it in your bra!" Like I said, Star can be a bit over the top.
"Um," I start, uncertain about this dare.
"Star, don't you think that is going a bit to far?" Samuel asks, looking at her. She looked at him.
"Well then if it's too far, would you like to go instead?" she said, giving Sam 'the look'. Sam looked at me. I guess I must have looked pretty miserable cause he said, "Yeah, I'll go instead."
"Ok, then." Star said. She looked at me and grinned. She knew I had a crush on Sam. Earlier in the game I had been dared to write my crushes name on a piece of paper and give to to one person. I had given it to her, and the secret was out. I knew I was in for something either good or bad and I was hoping for something good.
"I dare you to take your shirt off and leave it off for the rest of school!" I looked at Star, gasping. She smirked at Sam, waiting for his response.
"That is not a dare!" Jeremy exclaims.
"Yes, it is," Star replies, looking at Jeremy weirdly.
"Well, not the kind of one I expected from a girl daring another girl to put a hamburger in her bra..." mumbled Jeremy. Star turned back to Sam.
"Are you gonna take your shirt off, or is Maddie gonna have to stick a hamburger in her shirt?" she says, waiting for and answer, tapping her foot. I did not dare look at Sam. For some reason, my chipped nail polish seemed very interesting at the moment. I heard Sam go, "Um...", then silence.
I looked up to see his hands on both sides of the hem of his shirt. Woah, he was actually taking Star's dare for me...
"Hurry up!" said Star, getting impatient. He pulled it up his shirt slowly.
"Come on Sam! Are you having second thoughts?" Star snapped. Did I mention she was also impatient? Sam glared at her and pulled his shirt all the way off.
Oh, yeah, did I mention that Sam was fit, like really fit? I did my best not to stare, I didn't even look up, I couldn't cause I'd look and he'd notice. The temptation was driving me crazy so I just looked at him through the corner of my eye. Whoa, he is so- I just, whoa.
Sam stuck his shirt in his backpack and sat there embarrassed while the whole cafeteria looked at him. He blushed. The lunch lady came by and began staring at Sam.
"Lunch lady do you have to stare?!" asked Avis, rather rudely. She just glared at her and moved along. Sam blushed and looked at his hands, trying to ignore the stares of about all the girls in the school. I blushed, trying not to look at Sam. Star looked at me and winked. Oh, now I know why she dared him to do that. Thanks Star, for being you and messing with my life...again.
