Chapter 12

Samuel's POV:

I look away from a sad Jeremy and Star and I look over at Maddie who is talking to a boy with black hair.

" Touche," the boy says grinning at her," I'm Shadow,"

" Maddie," she says smiling. I look over at a girl next to Shadow, she smiles softly.

Shadow looks at me," and who are you?"

I look at him and give a small smile before replying," I'm Samuel." I look back over at the girl who was now staring at her hands. " What's your name?" I ask her

" Kikomo, Kiki for short," She looks at me and smiles

" Nice to meet you Kiki and Shadow," I say as I look back at Shadow who was currently staring at the sad Star behind me. I look away from them and look at the windows and door worriedly..

Shadow stood up and walked over to Star

I looked at Maddie," how's your arm?" I ask.

" It hurts some, but the pain isn't near as bad as it was a week ago," she replied," and how's your leg?"

" Pretty good, still hurts if I try to stand for to long though..." I answered her question as I looked at my leg

Star's POV:

I looked up from my hands to see a guy with black hair standing in front of me, I quickly hide my face so he won't see my watering eyes

" Hi, I'm Shadow," He says," what's your name?"

I mumble back," I'm S-Star..."

He looked at a empty desk next to mine," do you mine if I sit?"

I shake my head no as he sits down

" If you don't mind me asking, why do you look like your about to cry?" He asked politely

I sniffles and looked up at him," uh-um.."I mumbled quietly,"love issues..."

"HEY!" I hear someone yell and I look at the door to see who it is

Jeremy's POV:

" HEY!" I hear someone yell and I instantly look away from the wall I was staring at and I look at the doorway where a 16 year-old guy with brown hair stood

I looked away again, trying to forget Aspen...

Tyler's POV:

I ran to my French class.. I was already extremely late, I skidded to a stop at the door and took two steps into the room before looking around. Only a few people there, I knew two of them.. One thing that was missing though.. But, what was it?

I looked over to the teachers desk and realized miss Bullock wasn't there.. Yes! This meant no detention for being late! Plus no class!

I looked back at the other people and yelled," HEY!" Which caused them all to suddenly look at me

I walked in a few more steps and looked at a girl with brown hair who had a extremely small arm, and guy with brown hair who had a cast on his leg and crutches by him.

Then I noticed something.. My cousin Kiki was staring at a guy who was I the corner of the room.

" Whatcha staring at the guy with black hair for, Kiki?" I saw quite loudly

Kiki looks at me, she was blushing like a maniac but I could see the anger I her eyes

Jeremy's POV:

I stand up and walk over to the girl with blonde hair who was looking at the guy who had just entered the room .

The guy looked at me. " Hey, what's your name?"

" Jeremy..." I mumble quietly while staring at my hands

" What did you say?" He asks

I look up at him and say a bit louder," Jeremy."

" Well, Jeremy.. I'm Tyler, Ty for short and this is-"

The blonde girl looked at me and cut him off," I'm Kikomo. But you can call me Kiki." She smiled softly

Samuel's POV:

" So.. How's uh- your mom? Is she still taking your arm being shot thing okay?" I asked Maddie

Maddie nodded,"Yeah, she's taking it very well actually..."

" That's good.." I said as I looked around the room worriedly again

Maddie watched me," You okay?"

I nodded slightly and replied," yeah.. I've just been lately worried that they are looking for us.. Ya know?"

" Yeah.." She answered. "I know the feeling. Like I am scared they are just going to jump out and shoot us. I don't feel safe here."
