I Will Not Be Silenced

I sat across from Jace, or at least I think I sat across from him, It was to dark to tell. I pulled again at the cuff on my wrist" Rissa stop it before you pull my arm off" I heard Jace tell me and I sighed.

" you could make yourself useful and give us a little light though." I rolled my eyes before I raised my free and closed my eyes. A moment later, a small light lit up the area but not by much. I heard screaming and frowned before looking at Jace who looked just as confused as I was. My eyes started darkened and felt tired." Rissa are you alright" Jace asked and I shook my head to clear the fuzziness.

" I'm fine just tired, it takes a lot to keep the flame going, same with teleporting"

" then why do use them"

" because I guess, their attachments to who I am. Plus, just because I hate him, doesn't mean that I don't wish I at least had a good memory of him, just one" I mumbled and he frowned." I may have had mom, Clary and Luke but a part of me just wanted him to love me, a part of me just wanted my father. My powers, they are the only things that give me the feeling that he doesn't just see me as a weapon"

" but he wants to get rid of all downworlders"

" I know and that's why we have to stop him" We heard footsteps and I quickly put the flame out." Jonathan, Marissa" My eyes widened as another flame was lit and Valentine appeared from the darkness.

He was dressed in Shadowhunter armor and in his hand was a sword which was covered in blood. I felt the last of my energy leave me and my eyes closed. When they opened, I was on the ground with a really bad headache. Everyone looked over at me as I groaned out in pain, holding my head. " Rissa" I heard Clary cry before I was knocked over. She scared me so much, I teleported in instinct, right into a tree. I held on for dear life" what the heck Clary" I yelled and I noticed Magnus Bane look up at me before shaking his head and turning to where the Inquisitor was standing." along with watching them, I would also be teaching Marissa to control her abilities."

" I thought you were already doing that" I pointed out but was ignored.

" of course, perhaps you could teach her some manners as well, the girl is so unmannered and temperamental, much like her father was" I glared at her before teleporting from the tree branch and in front of the women who jumped back in shock as I glared at her." I am not my father" I yelled and Magnus dragged me away with Jace before I could punch the blonde in the face.

A few days later, I sat on the couch glaring at the ceiling, a small flame; about the size of a penny, floated around my head." is that really all you can Rissa" Jace asked and I glared at him before smirking. The small flame grew to the size of baseball and I flicked my wrist, causing it go flying toward him making him duck only to have be put out as Magnus Bane appeared from the kitchen with his arms crossed." stop trying to kill him, you supposed to be concentrating, Marissa"

" tell that to him, he's annoying me" I mumbled pointing at Jace, who ignored me." you not the only one" I heard Magnus tell me before there was a knock on the door." oh look perfect practice, open  the door" he told me and I rolled my eyes before raising my hand and snapping my fingers. The door flew open and bounced off the wall, leaving a dent where it had hit.

" oops" I mumbled and he shook his head before snapping his own fingers, fixing the wall. Clary, Simon and Alec stood in the doorway watching as I rolled off the couch and on to the floor in utter boredom." So bored" I groaned with my face against the carpet.

" thought you would have teleported away by now" Simon told me sarcastically and I glared at him before pointing at Magnus," I tried, he just dragged me back" I told him before putting my face back in the carpet hearing Magnus sigh." it's not my fault your a hopeless student who has no talent at all"

" Hopeless? you pushed me off the roof yesterday and told me not use my teleportation" I yelled and he shrugged before snapping his fingers, making 6 chairs appear with a large round table. I got up and sat in one of the chairs, just as a white waxed cup appeared in front of me. I reached out to grab it but Magnus took it before replacing it with a different one. I frowned before opening it, I  drank it and glared at him, finding that it was de-caffeinated. Jace explained what happened in the silent City and one part I added' and that is when I passed out' making everyone give me looks before Jace continued. Magnus told us about something called Infernal Convergence and Alec got a call from Isabelle telling him that the  queen of the local faeries had requested that we meet with her.

" oh joy" I mumbled before we left.
