Kate's POV
April 21, 2023 (Present Day)
"Kate, wake up," my mom says. "We have to drive you to the airport in an hour."
"What day is it?" I ask tiredly.
She laughs at me. "The day you move back home to San Francisco," my mom plays off as if it weren't a big deal.
I roll my eyes, and once she leaves, I get up from my bed, dressing myself as I do so. Fully clothed, I straighten my hair and apply my makeup. Finished, I grab my suitcase and head downstairs to the kitchen where a cup of coffee is waiting for me on the counter.
"Thanks, dad."
"Anything for you, princess."
As I sip my drink, I can't help but think about last night. This move back home has definitely made me overthink some things.
And that's when I remembered.
It was a dream. All of it was just a dream.
I haven't moved out to San Francisco yet. I never met Nick at the airport, I never reunited with Olivia, and I never got to see the one person I cared for the most- Daniel.
The hugs, the kisses, the memories- they were all fake. I never met Tori, Daniel was never betrayed by Olivia and Nate, and Mrs. Mayer was still standing strong.
It's crazy to think how the night before I move back home, I think about my three best friends from grammar school.
I haven't spoken to any of them since eighth grade graduation which was eight years ago. The four of us lost connection, and no one bothered to fix that. I tried and after many failed attempts, gave up. But who knows, maybe this move back home will give all of us a chance to reunite.
After all, we are The Original Four.
The End.
.
THERE WILL BE AN EPILOGUE.
Plot twist. It was a dream!
Thanks for all of your love and support. You guys rock, and I'm forever grateful.
