"We've been dating for three years! Can you believe that?" Daniel exclaims.

"I definitely can. Each day it reminds me just how thankful I am to be with you."

He pecks her lips and smiles. "Happy anniversary. Go get changed, I have exciting plans for tonight."

Kate rushes off to their room in order to get ready. Her and Daniel had moved into a beautiful house together last year. She stopped being his assistant earlier on and became an English teacher at the University of San Francisco.

Living together definitely played a huge role in their relationship. They were tested with all sorts of challenges, and each one achieved proved that they were a great team, a great couple.

And now, three years later, they are celebrating the anniversary of when they officially became a couple . . . again.

"Are you ready?" Daniel asks, standing at the bottom of the staircase.

"I'm coming," Kate replies, walking down the stairs in a pair of jeans, a cute sweater, a black vest, and a pair of boots.

He takes her hand and wraps his other arm around her. "You just get prettier and prettier every day."

.

"Daniel, this is too sweet," Kate says as she lies down on one of the blankets put out for them.

"Anything for you."

She looks up at the sky and tries counting the stars. They were so beautiful and full of promise. The night-sky glistened, and she couldn't help but smile.

"Kate," Daniel says.

"Hmm?" she hums in response.

"Kate, look over here for a second."

She sits up and stands, turning to face her boyfriend of three years. Daniel gets down on one knee and pulls out a velvet-colored box.

"The first time we did something like this, it was way back in eight grade. We promised to be each other's forever & always, not understanding what that really meant.

"After eight years of not seeing you, I realized that you are my future. So this time, I'm asking you to be my happy ending. Kate Mitchell, will you do me the honor of being my beautiful wife?"

Kate sheds a few tears and slowly nods her head. "You are the sweetest guy I have ever met. I love you, Daniel. Of course I want to marry you."

He stands up, and she runs into his arms, the ring slipping onto her finger. A loud boom rings through the air, and they look up to see the words, She said yes! in the sky.

"What's all this?" Kate smiles, not looking away from the beautiful scenery.

Daniel kisses the top of her forehead. "Just something special for my girl. You deserve the world."

"I love you, Mr. Mayer."

"And I love you, soon-to-be Mrs. Mayer."
