She's awake

Sophie's POV

I woke up to the sun beaming through the trees, I felt arms wrapped around me, I looked to see who it was,Newt. I don't remember fallen asleep, we must of both fell asleep at the same time. I sat up and started to shake him, 'Newt wake up.. Newt' I kept shaking him, he opened up his eyes and smiled, I smiled back, 'eventually lazy bones' I laughed. He sat up, threading his fingers through his hair. 'What time is it?' He asked me, 'I don't know, breakfast time maybe' I said looking around to see if I could see anything, but I couldn't, we were in the middle of the woods. Newt stood up and put his hand out for me to take it, of course I took it, he pulled me up and stood back a bit. He tripped on a rock and took me with him, I landed right on top of him. We both just laughed, I looked in his eyes and got lost in them, he bit his lip. He looked so hot when he did so, I felt his hand softly brush back my hair, behind my ear and stoked his thumb on my cheek. I felt butterflies form inside my stomach, his touch made me feel safe. He pulled my head closer to him, I couldn't help but look down at his lips and back up to his eyes, we both smiled. I leant closer into him, I heard a stick snap, we both looked to the right and saw Alby standing there with a massive smile on his face, I jumped onto my feet and so did Newt, 'sorry to disturb your lovely moment but the girl she's awake' Alby said smirking at Newt. 'Really where is she?' I said. 'Well she's throwing rocks at everybody' he said, I looked at Newt and he looked at me, 'just like Sophie here then' Newt smiled. We run over to where all the chaos was happening.

'Are all girls like this' Gally said shouting, I looked over at him, all cuffed and laughed. He glared over at me, and got hit in the head by a rock, I couldn't help but laugh even more.

More rocks came flying down, and one nearly hit me, but Newt pushed me out of the way. 'Stop throwing bloody rocks' Gally shouted, she began to throw even more. Another rock came flying at me, but I just managed to dodge it, 'wow, stop, stop' i shouted, more rocks came flying down, and hit Newt in the leg, causing him to fall. 'Are you okay?' I helped him back up, another rock nearly hit him again. 'Hey it Sophie, it's Sophie' I shouted again.

She stopped and looked down at me, 'Sophie?' She said, 'yes it's me Sophie, please come down' I gestured her to come down, she sat there and stared at me for a while and then everyone else. Then moved out of site, we waited for a while, I saw here coming down she was holding the same knife I used when Newt came up to me. I walked slowly towards her, 'here, I'll take that' I said nicely, I reached my hand out to try grab it but she moved it away from my reach, 'it's okay they won't hurt you, none of us will' she looked around and then back at me, I could sense the confusion off her. She's probably wondering why I'm the only girl out of them and how long I have been here. 'It's okay, what your name?' I asked her, still holding my hand out to see if she would hand me the knife.'T-Teresa'

She looked at my hand and then at the knife, and slowly handed it to me. When I had the knife in my hand I gave it to Newt to keep a hold of, 'where's T-Thomas?' she asked. 'He's out, working' Newt stepped forward and answered her question, 'he shouldn't be long back' he continued. Teresa stood blankly, with no emotion what's so ever, I kind of felt sorry for her.

'You hungry?' I asked her, she nodded and turned to Frypan and gave him a look, he ran off to go make something for her. I walked towards the table we usual sat at, I haven't actually sat here in a while, actually I haven't eaten in a whole day. We both sat down opposite each other, Newt came over, with two plates of food and put them down in front of me and Teresa, and sat down next to me. I smiled and started eaten, and so did Teresa.

Me and Teresa both finished our meal, 'so how exactly do you know Sophie and Thomas' Newt asked, looking directly at Teresa, she shrugged her shoulders. 'I actually don't know, I just some how remember them' she explained, 'do you remember anything else?' I asked. 'I remember water, like I was drowning, and a women saying the same thing over and over again' she said, 'wicked is good' a voice came from behind us, I turned around to see Thomas standing there, covered in sweat.

'What?' Newt asked confused, he looked at me with more confusion in his face, probably at the fact I was acting all cool about this, 'do you know what their talking about?' Newt asked me, I wanted to say no but I couldn't lie to him, 'yes.. I had a dream exactly like that, the day I fainted when I came out the maze..' I said, scratching my head.

'What!' Another voice came from behind Teresa, it was Alby. 'You were in the maze?' He said crossing his arms and glaring over at Newt, 'Newt! Why did you not tell me this! Why did you not stop her from going in there!' He raised his voice, 'it wasn't his fault, and if he did try to stop me he'd be crushed in between the doors' I said, trying to protect Newt from losing his place as second commander, Alby was now glaring over to me, you could see the steam coming out his ear, and he walked towards me in rage, Thomas jumped in front of me, 'she saved my life Alby, she also helped me save Minho's life, if you were actually here and never left Newt to do everything him self then you would know about everything that has happened these past few days' Thomas began to raise his voice, Alby stopped and looked to the ground, 'have you at least punished her' he turned to Newt, and so did I, 'well that was her first meal in over a day, if you will count that as enough punishment for her?' Newt suggest to Alby, Alby looked at me, and nodded, then walked away. 'Thanks' I said to both Thomas and Newt, I looked over at Teresa who sat there in confusion and fright, Thomas sat down opposite her and spoke to her for a while.

'Come with me, I want to show you something before dinner is ready' Newt said while dragging me behind him, 'you know I can walk' I said, he still dragged me along, like he didn't hear me.

He dragged me into the middle of the DeadHeads, where we slept last night. 'Stay here' he told me then walked off, I sat down and started picking the grass. Someone came up behind me and covered my eyes, I was about to scream until he spoke, 'it's okay, it's only me' Newt whispered in my ear, I could feel his breath against my ear, which tickled a bit, but it also turned me on.

'Keep your eyes closed' he took his hands of my eyes, and moved my hair out of the way. I felt something cold wrap around my neck, I opened my eyes and looked down to see a beautiful gold locket on my chest, it was amazing. I turned around to face Newt, 'I love it' i said smiling, he smiled back at me, 'good because it's yours now' he said, I hugged him and kissed him on the cheek. 'Thank you'.
