"Package? From who?" I wasn't expecting a package from anyone.
"It was a man and he said he's your uncle." The principal assumed as he gave me a reassuring smile. "Don't worry. We don't accept suspicious packages. It seems like the package is neatly wrapped."
"That doesn't mean anything." Jordan mumbled. All eyes were on him now. What did he mean by that?
"Right, okay. Daphne do you want to pick it up now?" The principal asked me as he placed his hand on the door knob and twisted it, opening the door.
I glanced at Jordan, and his eyes were wide. He shook his head, telling me to stay. "Umm I'll uh pick it up after school. Thanks sir."
The principal nodded and walked out of the class, closing the door behind him.
"Okay class." Jordan clapped his hands together. "Today, we'll start working on Romeo and Juliet!"
The whole class groaned. "We already learned that in our freshman year sir!" A football player loudly said across the room.
Jordan chuckled and grabbed a chalk and wrote 'Romeo and Juliet' on the board. "Then I guess we'll learn it again today."
"Umm sir?" I raised my hand.
"Yes?" Jordan said as he crossed his arms, revealing his muscles. I still can't believe he kissed me yesterday. I need to talk to him about it. I was getting confused now.
"Why do we have to learn it again?"
Jordan stared at me intensely. His eyes were locked into mines. I arced an eyebrow at him. What's that look for?
He cleared his throat and said, "Because its in our curriculum this year. And..." He paused, looking straight at me. "I think everyone needs to learn what Romeo and Juliet did for each other."
"And that is?" Jane asked. Did she ever learn Romeo and Juliet? She's so stupid.
Jordan smiled, never breaking eye contact with me. "The fact that Romeo and Juliet fought for their love, for them to be together..." He paused. He was still looking at me straight in the eye. "For them to commit suicide, because they know how much it hurts to live without the one they love."
The class let out a small 'awww' and giggles from the girls. What did he mean by that? Why was he staring at me like that?
"So they both committed suicide? Because of love? That's stupid." Jane said chuckling to herself.
"Its not stupid if you're in love." Jordan said, still staring at me.
"Mr. Miller?" This time it was Vanessa. Jordan broke the eye contact with me and looked at Vanessa.
"Yes Ms. Cawlyns?"
"Are you in love sir?"
This brought the whole class into silence. They were looking at Jordan now. They wanted to know. I want to know, too.
Jordan chuckled to himself. "I think that's none of your business Vanessa."
'Oh come on Mr. Miller please!'
'Yeah Mr. Miller please I wanna know!'
'Please sir!'
The whole class was desperately pleading Jordan now.
I heard Jordan sighed and told the class to quiet down. He ran a hand through his hair and looked at me. "Yes I'm in love."
"I bet its Joshua." I mumbled to myself.
