'Josh? Are you still there? Hellooooo?' I heard Daphne said from the phone.
Oh no. There is no way I'm helping a girl that's having a period! Do you know how much temper they have? Very short! They get mad easily! They get irritated easily! There is no way I'm helping her with that!
'But its Daphne, Josh.' My mind thought. Yes I know its her! But its too risky you know? A girl with a period is seriously a trouble. I can guarantee you that.
'Can Sharmaine at least help you?' I desperately pleaded.
'No she's busy..' She stated firmly. Maybe I should help her. Should I? No Joshua! You promised yourself to never help a girl that has her period!
Ah hell.
'Fine. Just hang tight in there. I'll be there in less than 30 minutes.' I said as I clicked the end button. I put Sharmaine's phone in the table with force. I groaned hard and put my hands on my face. What am I going to do?
'Stop being a girl Josh and man up!' My mind thought. But still, I'm dealing with a pissed off woman right here! 'This is your chance to prove to her that you care for her! Stop being a girl and go grab your keys and buy her some pads!'
"Ugh fine okay!" I screamed. Suddenly I heard chuckling from behind me. I slowly turned around and saw Sharmaine smirking.
"Speaking to yourself eh?"
"I need to go." I grumbled as I took my car keys from my front pocket and ran out of the door.
I went inside my car and turned the ignition on. I drove off from Sharmaine's uncle's parking lot and I was now driving my way to the nearest store.
Its been two weeks since that day. Its been two weeks since I kissed her. Its been two weeks since I last talked to her. But its funny isn't it? We never solved a single problem. I visited her at her house because I wanted to apologize, but I was being a chicken and walked out. I told her I was "gay" and that was me being an ass. I told her that the kiss meant nothing to me, but it did meant everything to me. We never talked about those things anymore. No one even dared to say a word about what happened between us.
Should I bring it up after I buy the pads? Should I talk to her about it? No. No Joshua, don't. I mean I supposed to leave her alone and let her live her life. I don't want to ruin her future.
'But you are her future, Josh.' My mind thought again. I mentally slapped my head. Stupid brain.
After constantly arguing with my mind, I finally managed to arrive at a local mini-store in fifteen minutes. Wow, I spend that time arguing with my brain. Too much time wasted, Josh.
I parked my BMW auto beside the store and got out. The store wasn't that small. It was a size of a local church. The windows were built with glass so I can basically see the inside.
I came inside the store and stomped my way to the cashier.
There was a brunette woman sitting in a chair behind the counter popping her gum while reading a time magazine. I cleared my throat to get her attention. She put the magazine down to her lap and looked up at me. Her eyes widened. Of course, Josh.
She quickly stood up and fixed her hair. She had a messy bun on. It was really messy. Then she pulled her skirt up in her tigh and unbottoned her shirt. Isn't she being obvious? Women.
"Can I help you?" The woman said as she leaned towards the counter, making her boobs visible.
"No actually I don't need any help that's why I came here." I sarcastically responded. Well that was a bit harsh of me. The woman seemed shocked, so I cleared my throat again. "Do you have any pads available?"
