~Epilogue~
6 MONTHS LATER
[DAPHNE's POV]
"Mom I can't find my necklace!" I yelled as I paced around my bedroom looking for that damn expensive jewelry.
"Just leave it dear! You're going to be late for prom!" Her voice echoed from downstairs. Like seriously can she keep her voice down? She's making my head hurt!
"Ugh!!" I groaned, giving up. I've been looking for that damn thing for fifteen minutes now and I still couldn't find it. I've looked everywhere; my closet, under the bed, my bathroom, hell I even looked for it outside! I just bought that thing yesterday at Kay's Jewelry for $1099. Yes its fucking expensive but it really matched my dress.
I sighed and squeezed my eyes shut, trying to calm myself down. Ever since he left me that day, I've changed, a lot. At least that's what everybody thought. My mood had been down lately, my grades even went down. Hell I'm surprise I'm still graduating next week!
I tried, I tried to move on. I tried to forget him. I did everything I could to get him out of my head, but he's still here. He still owns a piece of my heart. I hate him, I hated him for what he did, but as much as I hate to admit it, I still love Joshua.
I still love him.
But will I ever forgive him if he comes back?
A loud knock from my door interrupted my train of thoughts. "You look stunning sweetheart."
I turned myself around and found my mom leaning against the wall, arms crossed over her chest. "Mom are you crying?" I said walking towards her and enveloped her into a big hug.
"I just can't believe my baby is growing up." She whispered, rubbing my exposed back.
I pulled away from her and wiped her trays of tears away. "Mom I am grown up. I'm 18 years old now." I said smiling at her.
"So? You're still mommy's girl." She said winking at me.
"Umm no! She's a daddy's girl!" My dad barged in inside the room.
"Hey daddy." I greeted him as I kissed his cheek. "Just wait for me downstairs okay? I'll be right there in a minute." I said assuring them.
Both of my parents nodded and left my room, leaving me with my train of thoughts again.
I grabbed my purse from the bed and decided to look at the mirror one more time before I leave.
I smiled at the person reflected in the mirror. I looked absolutely sexy, just what my mom intended to say. My brunette hair was in a messy bun, with strands of my hair sticking out, just what I wanted. I didn't put any make-up at all, all I used was an eyeliner, because I'm really not a fan of make-up.
Finally, my dress. I had a dirty white glitter strapless dress that went four inches above my knees. Yes it was that short and it almost went on my butt, but I don't care. Live life to the fullest baby!
Okay back on my dress. It is absolutely stunning and it really did fit me perfectly, showing off my curves around my body. My back was showing off because it was exposed, just what I liked.
Fuck I look like a slut.
"Honey are you ready or what!"
"I'm coming mom! Geez!" I said, looking at the mirror for the last time.
I shrugged and took my mask from my study table. Oh yeah I nearly forgot. Our theme for our prom this year was masquerade. Pretty lame, I know.
I looked at my mask and decided to put it on now. It only covered my eyes because I wanted everyone to recognize the girl behind this mask, the girl behind this dress. I want everyone to know that Daphne Moore is not an innocent girl anymore.
