Charlotte's POV
I was already used to being alone. I didn't think having friends was necessary anyway, they'd probably just be a nuisance to my studies. Even at home, I'm always in my room studying since my parents were almost never home and they never did have any time for me even if they're around. I didn't care about anything anymore, friends, family, all of it... All I cared about now was to finish my studies with the highest honors, without any interferences from anyone, that's it...
Third person's POV
Charlotte woke up early to get ready for school and study for a bit on the way there. As she walked to school, since her school was just a walking distance away and it would be a waste to ride the car, she was reading her biology book to get ready for the upcoming test later that day when she accidentally bumped into someone.
Charlotte's POV
I was reading my biology book and I was too focused to know that I bumped into someone. "Ouch!", the stranger said. "I'm sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going, my apologies.", I said respectfully and as I looked at the said stranger, he was actually a student of my school. "It's alright", he said with a smile. "Um... Okay... Bye..." I said quietly and ran off. "That was awkward." I thought and shook my head to forget that strange encounter.
Stranger's POV
"Who was that girl? She wore the same uniform as I did... Could she be a student there too?... Nevermind that..." I shook my head to get off of my thoughts, "I might be late for school." I said and ran.
I was walking down the halls of my new school looking for the Principal's office when I got some stares from the other students. "I wonder where the Principal's office is..." I thought to myself as I ignored those stares. When I reached my destination I knocked on the door. There was a silence until someone said "Come in." I went in as told and I saw the principal sitting on his desk doing paperwork. "I'm sorry to bother you, sir. I was jus--" "Good morning, Mr. Parker. Are you here to get your class schedule?" he interrupted me but I nodded since that was what I was here for.
"Here you are." he handed me the class schedule as I thanked him. "Let me accompany you to your room so you won't be late on your first day, if you don't mind that is, Mr. Parker." "I don't mind at all, sir, but don't you have some work to do?" I asked him but he just ignored my question and took me out of his office and walked.
I got a lot of stares again like earlier but this time they were talking about me and I heard them loud and clear. "You seem to be getting popular, Mr. Parker. I wouldn't debate on that since you are a new face in this school and handsome at that." he chuckled at his words which made me smile.
We talked about the school on our way to my classroom which wasn't that far. "Ah... Here we are, my boy, and it's as noisy as ever... Tsk tsk tsk.... Kids..." he shrugged and entered the room.
