Charlotte's POV
Blake went in the classroom before me, knowing that I dislike being seen with someone, and that's when the girls started swarming him with greetings.
"Good morning, Blake!" "Morning Blake!" "Blake, I made you cookies! Want some?" that was my cue to enter the classroom, unseen. "Good morning, ladies." Blake smiled at them which made them squeal.
I took out my book and started reading, since I didn't have the time at the library, but I was glad that I was able to remember a lost memory of mine.
In fact, I can't recall much memories of when I was young and with my family, all I can remember are previous topics of my subjects.
I sighed and covered my face. I relaxed myself and the day started as it always has.
Third person's POV
But today was a very unusual day for the both of them. It was similar to the days before Charlotte befriended Blake. They never got to have their private chats whenever they're alone.
In fact, whenever Blake planned on talking to Charlotte during their breaks he'd be taken away by his other friends or even his fangirls. Charlotte just studied away like how she did before they met, it was as if they neve knew each other's existence.
It was quite lonely for Charlotte. It's been a while since she has felt this loneliness after all.
~Time skip~
It was already lunch and Blake was taken away by his friends again. Charlotte just remained her usual self and ate at the roof top alone.
She sighed and looked up the sky. "It's been a while since I was on my own..." she thought out loud. "It feels different now that I know what it's like to have a friend..." she kept on talking to herself.
"I miss you..." she continued.
"Blake." "Charlotte." they both whispered at the same time but in different places.Blake was in the cafeteria with his friends, talking and eating. But even with the accompaniment of other friends, he still missed a certain someone.
Blake's POV
I was eating lunch with sone friends in the cafeteria and I felt empty inside. I guess it must be because I'm not with Charlotte today. It's really unusual for me.
I sighed and looked out the window. I can see the rooftop from here and how I hoped to be there with Charlotte, Just the two of us.
"You okay, bro?" Mark asked me as he patted on my shoulder.
"Huh? Yeah." I told him, now back in reality. "You're keep zoning out, Blake. What's on your mind?" Lucy spoke. "It's nothing." I scratched the back of my head.
"It's a girl, isn't it?" Mark smirked mischievously. There was silence, I didn't speak at all. "Haha, I knew it!" Mark laughed. "So... Who is it?" he grinned.
"I can't tell. We're only friends anyway." I told him, looking away. "Just a friend, huh?" Mark rested his thumb and index finger on his chin as he thought.
I don't really think they'll find out. It's me and Charlotte's little secret after all. "It's Charlotte, isn't it." Lucy announced and I almost choked on the water I was drinking.
I coughed, "Seriously?! Her? You gotta be kidding, man." Mark kept on asking and went wild with curiosity. "Can you keep it down. Someone might hear us. It's a secret between us, got it?"
Mark saluted and Lucy nodded, "Good." I stood up and they followed beside me. "For how long?" Mark asked cheerfully. "Not that long, I guess. Just last Wednesday." I told them.
"You like her don't you~?" Mark grinned playfully like a kid. "Be quiet. If someone hears us they'll bully Charlotte." I whispered to them as we entered the rooftop.
"Charlotte?" I asked and looked around. I found her seated beside the door, reading. "Blake?" she looked up at me then smiled.
"Hello!" Mark popped his head out and went beside Charlotte. "Sorry to intrude." Lucy said respectfully and sat beside Mark. I sighed and sat down beside Charlotte and silence filled the atmosphere.
Charlotte's POV
"Friends of yours?" I asked Blake and he just laughed nervously while scratching his head.
"Oh yeah, I'm --" Mark spoke but I cut him off. "Mark and Lucy. I know. We're in the same class after all." "Really~?" Mark said happily and hugged me.
"Please let go." I told him and he was pulled off me by Lucy then she smacked him in the head. "Ouch! What was that for?!" Mark whined as he rubbed his head.
"That's for bothering Charlotte, you idiot!" she grumbled before speaking again, "I'm sorry about that, Charlotte." she apologized to me.
"I-it's fine." I waved my hands, embarrassed. " Let's all be friends, ne?" Mark cheered as Lucy nodded to the idea. "Oh yeah... Aren't you jealous, Lucy? That someone's close with me?" Blake butted in.
"Why would I be? I'm not like those other girls that go crazy over you. They're so abnormal." she shivered at the thought. "Well that's a relief. I don't really like getting bullied." I sighed in relief.
"Don't worry, Char. If they do bully you, You can count on me to be there for you!" Mark and Lucy proclaimed as they put an arm over my shoulder.
Blake laughed at the sight and smiled at me. I smiled back at him and we went back to class. The day resumed with Blake being pulled away from me again only that, I was still in the company of Mark and Lucy. New friends that I've made.
~Time skip~
The day quickly with Blake nowhere to be found and both Mark and Lucy went home early. "Bye Char!" "See you!" they said before walking out the room.
I was the only one left in class. "Time to clean." I told myself as I got the broom and dustpan.
I was always the one left to clean the class everyday. I only do this out of boredom, I dont particularly enjoy doing this but it helps clear my mind of the things I've done today.
After cleaning, I went out the room and walked down the hall, "I like you, Blake! Please accept my token of love to you!" I heard someone shout out.
I peeked in the room to see Blake with a fake smile on his face and a girl with a red face, "I'm sorry but I don't really like you." his smile turned to a straight face, he was obviously tired of this.
The girl's smile faltered as tears began pouring down her face non stop, "That's okay. I understand. Bye!" she said and ran out the room.
I took a step back to ensure that I won't be spotted by the girl nor Blake. She ran out the building, tears still streaming down her cheeks. It started to rain hard and I forgot to bring an umbrella, "Darn it." I sighed.
"Charlotte?" I jumped a bit, startled. "I guess you overheard our discussion. Don't mind that. It's just another girl confessing to me as always." he sighed.
The thunder crashed and lightning flashed with it, which made me jolt and cover my ears and shut my eyes. Blake was shocked by my sudden actions. "Are you afraid of thunder and lightning?"
I quivered and kept my eyes and ears shut. "Don't worry." I heard him say as he covered my head with his blazer. "I'm here for you." he said as he held me in his arms tightly.
