First person's POV
"Princess, just go without me... I'll hold them off."
"What are you talking about? I'm not leaving you behind."
"Don't worry about me... Just go with Blake. I'm already dying, it's just a waste to save me."
"Just revive yourself then! You've got x10 lives, Jake."
"Oh yeah. Forgot about that." Jake scratched his neck and revived his character. "Honestly..." Charlotte shook her head and sighed.
"Even when playing video games there's still drama. Are you that excited for the play?" Mark smirked.
"I was just messing around." Jake laughed, playing the game seriously this time.
It was 2:30 in the afternoon while the five were still in the living room and wasting a perfect Saturday away by playing video games and eating junk foods.
Charlotte's POV
"I'm getting bored with this game. Switch with me for a bit, Lucy?" I glanced to her and saw how her face lit up.
"No prob, Char! Lemme handle this." she eagerly took the controller from my hands and concentrated on the game.
I got up from the floor and stretched before I sat on the couch, switching with Lucy.
"Phew... My eyes are burning." I said while rubbing both my eyes.
"We've been playing for what? Two hours maybe?" Blake slumped his back on the couch, still playing.
I started to feel drowsy and yawned in reply to the drowsiness. "I'm gonna take a little nap." I said before my eyelids started to feel heavy.
"Night~" they all said in unison before I completely fell into deep sleep.
~Time skip~
I woke up to what sounded like snoring. I slowly opened my eyes and saw a pair of feet, almost a few inches close to my face.
I backed away from those feet and felt something warm wrap around my waist. I nearly jumped at the sudden contact. "Who's this?" I asked myself and glanced over my right shoulder.
"It's just Blake." I sighed in relief but then I realized, "Wait, Blake?" My cheeks reddened, I could put a tomato to shame with my red cheeks.
I tried to get up but his arm held onto me with a tight grip. I blushed a bit, "He's got a tight grip there, even in his sleep."
I looked around to search for the rest. "So... Blake is behind me, Mark is on the floor with feet propped on the couch, Lucy is..." I looked over at Mark to see Lucy sleeping on his chest. "On the floor with Mark... And Jake?" I looked around again and didn't see him. "Where's Jake?" I whispered.
"Right here." a voice whispered back. I wanted to scream but I covered my mouth to prevent it.
"What are you doing behind the couch?" I demanded. "I..." he trailed off.
Jake's POV
"I'm preventing myself from prying you off of Blake's arms and into mine" is what I wanted to say but I can't. "I'm looking for my lucky dice." I said.
"You have a lucky dice?"
"Yup! I accidentally dropped it somewhere when I got a glass of water."
"I'll help you find--" she got up from the couch but plopped back. "Nevermind, I can't."
I sighed in relief, "It's fine. I found it."
"Oh." was all she said.
I stood up from my uncomfortable sitting position and looked at all of them. "You need help there, princess? Or do you want me to give you two some alone time on the couch." I smirked at her but deep down I wanted to pry her off of Blake's grip and have her to myself.
"U-um I-uh..." she seemed speechless, trying to hide her flustered face but I could see it crystal clear. She's as red as a tomato from here.
I walked to the front of the couch and sat on the floor next to a sleeping Mark. "Do you need me...?" I looked down. "Do you still need me in your life?"
"Of course, I do." she smiled at me. "Not only for this--" she tried gesturing to the situation she's in"--but I need you to be there for me when I need you the most, Jake. You're my knight in shining armor, after all." she chuckled a bit. "You promised, remember?"
I smiled at her. "Yeah. I did."
There was a slight pause before I got up and pried Blake off of Charlotte. "There you go."
"Thanks." she stretched her arms and legs and looked up at me. "I can always count on you, Jake."
"Always." I smiled.
I hope nothing changes between us.

Woof... It's been a while since I last updated huh. I deeply apologize for all those who were waiting for an update... or not.
I had writer's block for the first time and couldn't think of a way to write this chapter.
I promise to try and update again but the Internet has been running slow lately and I just don't know anymore.
