Friendzone. (Part 3)

You were still kneeling in front of the school, crying your heart out. Luckily, no people this early would be going to school.

Except for one.

"(Y/N)?"

Apparently, the shadow who was watching you earlier was a friend. A close one, in fact.

You stopped sobbing and bawling your eyes. You immediately recognized the voice. It was one of your friends, Honey Lemon. She is one of the earliest people to come in SFIT.

"Hey, what's wrong?" She asked as she slowly walks towards you and sat beside you.You fixed your position and sat too, letting Honey Lemon soothe you. She sighed, and stared at you with sad eyes. "It was Hiro, right?" She asked.

You just nodded, and stared at the sky.

"Everything just went into havoc after telling him how I really feel." You say, playing with the rim of your shirt, sniffling.

"You what?!" Honey exclaimed, obviously shocked. You looked at her and nodded. "Yeah, and I bailed out after I realized I just confessed to him." You said, looking down. Honey smiled a little, because she really have this weird pairing system, and she paired you with Hiro.

"My confession is completely accidental, he's been bothering me with questions, asking me why I'm acting like this." You say, looking at Honey Lemon with tears flowing out of your eyes. Honey's small smile vanished and was replaced by a frown."Then I snapped and told him how I feel. Great huh?" You continued with sarcasm in your voice.

You sniffled and laid down on your back at the grassy area. "Everything is all messed up now." You say, wiping the tears off your face.

Honey just stared at you with sad eyes.

"I didn't even got the chance to go home last night because I slept in. Then the next thing I knew, I'm drooling all over my blueprints." You say, a blank expression on your face.

Honey Lemon suddenly pulled you up and took you to her lab. She said she wanted to help and get you cleaned up. Which she did (mostly your face because of the tears and drool stains...) and even lent you some of her clothes. And surprisingly, it fit you.

She lent you a yellow tank top with white leggings and yellow flats to finish it off. She even took the liberty of fixing your hair, braiding it. (A/N: If your hair is short, disregard this...)

She even sprayed you with some perfume. A sweet but addicting kind of smell. Honey complimented how you look great, but in the inside, you know you weren't really feeling great.

"Thanks for the help Honey, really, I appreciate it." You say, smiling a bit.
She nodded and smiled in return. "No problem, (Y/N), but remember to call me if you need help or anything, just remember, I'm always here." Honey said, patting your head.

You smiled at her and bid her goodbye, saying that you have to go back. As you walked away, you can't help but feel pity for yourself. Why? Honey just lent you clothes, and even offered to clean your drool stained blueprints! You are in a terrible spot in your life!

Groaning, you walked towards your lab which is only a few labs away from your former best friend whose name you don't even want to say. But what you saw took you completely by surprise. It was Hiro and (R/G/N), and they seem to be arguing about something.

Luckily, they hadn't seen you, so you hid behind the wall, listening closely to the situation. "Look, you started a relationship with me, and we are dating for months now, why did you suddenly want to stop?" You heard (R/G/N) ask, but with a hint of anger and hurt in her voice.

Hiro sighed and started talking. "It's kind of complicated, (R/G/N)." Hiro said.

"What kind of complicated is that then?!" (R/G/N) shouted. "I'M IN LOVE WITH MY BEST FRIEND AND I'M STUPID ENOUGH TO START A RELATIONSHIP WITH A PERSON I DIDN'T LIKED FROM THE START!" Hiro shouted, much to your surprise since he never snaps at people like that.

Hiro loves me? Those words echoed in your mind as you continued to watch the scene.

(R/G/N) just stared at Hiro with wide teary eyes. Of course it hurt her as well, so she decided that leaving him will be the best choice for now, so she started walking, and never bothered to look back.

As (R/G/N) walked away, Hiro leaned on his lab door and looked down, unaware of the fact that you saw the whole thing.

"My life is freaking messed up already." Hiro muttered, but loud enough for you to hear. You slowly got out of your hiding place and walked towards Hiro.

The way he leaned on his lab door even when he had a frown on his face made him more handsome. If that was even possible. For you he was the most handsome person in the world but, now, the way his hair is more messier that usual, and his clothes are a little crinkled, obviously he slept in it, he is wearing his favorite red shirt, (with the white long sleeves included), and his black converse with yellow laces, and his usual cargo shorts. Yup, even when he's sixteen he's still dressing weird, but you liked that about him.

As you were almost beside him, you gathered up the courage to comfort him. "Hey...." You managed to say, making Hiro look at you.

The moment he looked at you, his heart skipped a beat, then started pounding against his chest rapidly. For him you are always pretty, but now, you are beautiful. His mouth is open, but no sounds came out, like he was at a loss for words, which he is.

"I-I saw the whole thing, and I'm sorry. I'm the reason you two got in a fight." You said looking at Hiro directly, not mentioning the part where you heard Hiro loves his best friend.

Hiro suddenly felt nervous and averted his gaze, all he could think is if you heard his confession. "N-no, you are not the reason this mess started in the first place. I am." Hiro said, stammering.

"I'm such a bad person. I dated (R/G/N) to avoid hurting you if I ever started dated you, but ended up hurting two girls in the process. (R/G/N), and mostly you." Hiro said, as a frown appeared on his face.

You stayed silent, you don't know what to say at the moment, and just continued listening to Hiro.

"You heard my confession right?" You heard Hiro say, making you snap out of your thoughts. A blush crept across your face and avoided Hiro's gaze.

"I-I uh.." You looked for the right words but none of them were useful in the moment. "I guess you did, and I guess you wouldn't love me again. You can't love a person who already had hurt you." Hiro said, trailing off and faced the other way, his back facing you.

He had his hands in his pockets and started walking away. "NO!" You shout as you ran towards him , making Hiro turn and face you and suddenly being enveloped in a hug.

"Don't dare say that I can't love you! I have and always will love you Hiro!" You shout, silently thanking that you two are the only ones in this part of the building.

"And...It would be a privilege to have my heart broken by you..." You muttered, remembering that famous line from a novel.

Hiro just smiled, chuckled a bit, and returned your hug, but in his mind, all he could think about his how is he going to make you his girl. He had to say those words.

"I love you, (Y/N)." You heard Hiro say that made your heart pound hard against your chest.

You then smiled as a blush crept across your face, feeling excited to say those words that can change your life forever.

"I love you too."
