Tap. Tap. Tap.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
A loud sigh escaped your lips as you tried to look over your work once more. With your nimble fingers, you continued to type hastily on your laptop, like as if the world depends on it.
Well, not exactly.
But your grade does depend on it.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
Struggling to keep your eyes open, you typed a few more words, then added some sentences here and there. Then you clicked through some documents and saved journals. After a while, you proceeded to click the google icon to search more related things about your topic.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
"This is a lot harder than I thought it would be." You muttered as you continued to read some online published journals.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
For hours, you've been sitting on a cushioned computer chair by your desk, staring at the lit up laptop screen, and typing anything you could.
You are currently in your lab at the SFIT. Luckily, none of the usual gibberish noise were heard from outside your lab's doors. Apparently, most of the other students weren't around at this time of the day. Probably they're staying in the school library for study hall or decided to hang outside--the school does have a beautiful grass covered garden. Unlike the garden of your former school that's for sure. SFIT is indeed the best school for students who engage more in science.
(A/N: Sorry for interrupting, but I think I just advertised SFIT... 😅)
Tap. Tap. Tap.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
"I really, really, really, need to finish this now or my grades will collapse..." You said to yourself, either from the exhaustion, or that is your version of motivating yourself.
Shaking your head to stay awake, you blinked a few times and rubbed your already tired eyes. But a sudden thought made you stop typing for a few seconds and you began to talk in your mind.
'I should...get some rest.... It's been hours since I stood up from this chair, and it's getting really uncomfortable staying in one place for such a long time....'
"But, of course! No choice--I really, really, need to finish this." You voiced out, trying to enlighten the situation.
Typing a few more words and adding a few sentences, you suddenly started to feel a little groggy. And from all of the non stop typing, your fingers are craving to get some well deserved rest.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
A hand ran through your hair as you scanned through the laptop screen once more, before slouching on your chair, making a small creaking sound as you did so.
You closed your eyes. 'Fine', you thought.
"A few arm stretching will probably do the trick." You said, very much eager to finish the task at hand.
To give yourself a small break, you tried to stretch your arms above your head. It worked, but only for a few moments, because the pain from sitting, typing, and staring at the laptop monitor for hours definitely tired you out.
