Broken and Mended

You stared at the picture on your desk, sighing loudly while sitting up on your bed. It was a picture of you and your best friend, Hiro.

Yes you two were the best of friends, and were inseparable, but for the past few days in SFIT, Hiro and the gang were always together, and you were NOT with them unlike the usual.

It seems that Hiro had more time with his other friends than you, and that fact is making you in a depressed state. You don't even know why he's been avoiding you for the past few days, and because of that, your bullying problems is getting way more worse.

Hiro is acting like a shield, a protection for you, and he was doing his best on keeping you safe. But now, safe isn't the right word for how you are.

You are covered in bruises and cuts, even in your once clear face is now replaced by cuts and blood seeping out of them. And you can't do anything except stare at your reflection on the mirror beside the picture of you and Hiro.

You sighed, debating on accepting that offer from your parents to transfer you to another school. They noticed your cuts and bruises and said that they would be happy to help you in any way you want. You passed off that offer and decided to stay with Hiro. But now, considering that even he left you all alone, your decision changed.

You wiped some blood that was left on your face with a cloth and called your parents to tell the news.

"Mom, Dad?" You called.

"Yes sweetie?" You heard them say from outside your room.

"I changed my mind." You stated, feeling a little nervous.

"About what honey?" Your dad asked, as footsteps came closer to your room, then someone opened your door, only to reveal your Dad.

"I think I'll transfer."

"Oh goodie! The ghost girl is transferring!!"

"Yeah! No more 'haunting' in the halls!"

"Whoopie!!"

Laughter erupted around you, and you were surrounded by a group of older boys who were also studying in SFIT, you were younger, yet you were smarter, a prodigy, and they hated you for that.

(A/N: You and Hiro are sixteen, the youngest students in SFIT, and also the smartest.)

You tried to avoid these bullies but they can't seem to understand what 'I have to go' and 'Sorry' means. You sighed as you walked away from them, only to be tripped by one of them. They started laughing even louder than earlier.

Tears were about to fall from your eyes, and you don't have the strength to stop them from falling. But as you were about to let out a tear, you heard someone shout.

"STOP!!!!"

That made you look up and stare at the boy who saved you. It surprised and pained you at the moment, seeing that the person who saved you, was the same guy who avoided you for the past few weeks. The tears you've been holding had fallen out.

"Don't you dare hurt her again!" You heard Hiro shout, his eyes were filled with anger, but the bullies doesn't seem to mind his presence, besides, all they cared about is hurting you.

"What are you gonna do about it? Outsmart us?" They joked, and continued to bully you by kicking you in the stomach, making you scream in pain.

Blood came out of your mouth, making you choke. And pain never seem to leave your body as more tears went out from your eyes.

"I said DON'T DARE HURT HER AGAIN!!!!" You heard Hiro shout, as you clutched your stomach with both hands. You closed your eyes, waiting for some kind of pain or impact to happen, but it never came.
