"I should have stopped you...
I should have saved you...
But I was too late..."

----

You stood on a chair in a secluded room, then hanged a rope on the railings above, and tied the end into a knot where your head can be fit in.

You debated yourself on doing this, but all you could think off are the negative sides of your life, giving you no help whatsoever.

You were ready to stop, and ready to continue. You knew this wasn't right, but this was the only way to escape the pain and suffering.

----

"I know that there was something missing in my life, and you were there to help me find it, but all this time, that thing that was missing was actually you."

----

You grabbed the hanging rope and put your head through the knot you made.

You then started choking, your feet kicked the chair away, leaving you hanging for dear life. But no, you wanted to end your life, so, no matter how painful this is, you continued.

"T-this is nothing...P-physical p-pain is nothing c-compared to what I f-felt." You muttered, your voice almost gone.

While gasping for air, everything wrong with your life flashed into your eyes. Remembering them already pained your heart, especially the memory of your best friend and your most important person, Hiro, telling you that he likes someone. And that someone is not you.

You experienced being bullied in school, not being cared for by your own parents, living alone in the streets with those goons trying to assault you every day, but not being loved in return is what hurt you the most.

So then you wanted to stop everything. Stop being physically and emotionally hurt, stop being used, and stop living a life that is too hard for you.

----

"I'm sorry that I realized it too late. I was wrong for trusting my brain too much that I forgot to follow my own heart. And I should have said this to you earlier."

----

Your body turned weak, your hands that once held on tight on the rope had loosen it's grip. It's all over.

But before your last drop of life escaped from your body, you managed to mutter the last words you wanted Hiro to hear. "I-I l-love you, H-hiro..."

Your eyes slowly closed, knowing that this will be your last day on earth, you smiled weakly and gave up your body. The pain is over.

----

"I love you very much, (Y/N)...and I wish you were alive to hear those words."

"I'm sorry..."

----

Hiro woke up on his bed, eyes were still puffy and red from crying. He hadn't cried like this when Tadashi died, but the pain he felt now is more painful. Probably the most painful thing he felt in his life.

He wore his usual clothes and went straight to the cemetery.

Every day, Hiro would visit your grave and talk to you, as if you were still alive, just like what he is doing with Tadashi. Tadashi's grave and yours were beside each other, making Hiro dread each day of his life seeing that the most important people who had actually lived with him were now lifeless, and clueless on what is happening.

"Hey, Tadashi, (Y/N)..." He said, as soon as he arrived in front of you and Tadashi's graves. "I'm still alive and can't forget about you two, and I hope that, one day, I'll stop crying, I'll stop hurting, and that I'll be with you two."

He left the cemetery with a sad face.

He then continued to live his life with out you, but never once forgot the fact that he loves you more than anything.

----

"Hey, (Y/N)?" Hiro asked, his face giving off  slight blush.

"What?" You asked turning to him. You two were walking home from a busy day in school, and Hiro decided to tell you his feelings.

"I-uh, I...Agh! Talking can be hard sometimes!" Hiro said, irritated and running a hand over his already messy hair.

You gave a small giggle and gestured Hiro to talk. "I-uh, I l-like (R/G/N), and I n-need some help."

Your brain was telling you to wait for him to confess his feelings for you, he did confess, but the feelings are not for you.

You mentally cursed at your brain for letting yourself believe at something you ain't gonna get. "(Y-Y/N)??"

You snapped from your thoughts and  a smile on your face. "O-okay. I'll help." You managed to say those words with a fake smile. You know you are done, and probably stopped everything you dreamed.

Hiro thanked you by giving you a hug, and it made your heart flutter in your chest once again.

But for you, you wanted Hiro and you to be more than friends, but, with the situation now, it's not gonna happen.

Hiro never knew about your problems, and all he knew was that you were living with your parents, and that your'e happy. But what you really feel right now is the exact opposite of happy.

Words were repeating in your head the whole time you were with Hiro, and that made you snap.

"He'll never be yours, (Y/N)...."

----

As Hiro walked back to the Cafe, he saw your parents throwing out your things. He just stared at then in awe, shocked that the parents he believed that is making you happy, is throwing every memory of you.

They threw your things in a dumpster beside your home. As your parents walked back inside the house, Hiro grabbed that chance to gather your things and bring them to the cafe.

Hiro arrived at the cafe, entering from the back door, he climbed up the stairs with your things in tow and went to his room. He scattered the things he took from the dumpster and saw a familiar notebook. It was the notebook that you always carry.

Hiro opened the next page and was surprised to see that it was your journal. He flipped through pages and stopped at a particular page that caught his eye. It was the page where you admitted you had feelings for Hiro.

I ended up liking my best friend, and it looks like it's getting worse each day. All I could do is help him, but I think it's not enough to make him feel how much I really love him.

Then he told me he likes (R/G/N), and my dreams of him with me are completely over. I'll just stop. I can't even write this without tears falling from my eyes. It's just too painful. I'll just help him with (R/G/N)...At least one of us is happy...

Hiro's eyes were releasing large amounts of tears, and he can't seem to stop them. All this time, you liked him, yet he didn't even notice...

Hiro fell to his knees beside his bed, making a loud thump. But he didn't care at the moment.

I liked her, she liked me...why can't it be that simple? Why does she have to go through this? Why does time can't tell when to help us? Why am I so late....? He thought.

He then muttered the words he wanted to tell you so much.

"I-I love you too, (Y/N)...."
