So, this is for emma_and_orlando. She gave me the idea to do this from her story, Thominewt. You should read it! Anyways, without further ado... Le story!
Thomas woke up, happier than ever. And not just because he was cuddled up close to his boyfriend, Newt. He knew immediately after he opened his eyes that it was the most important day of his life; his birthday! Without this, he never would have been born and he never would have met Newt and Minho. He sighed happily and wrapped his arm around Newt protectively. Newt groaned and turned to face the boy. His eyes slowly fluttered open and he smiled, placing a kiss on Thomas' nose.
"Morning, love," he whispered, his voice soft and smooth.
"Morning. Guess what day it is," Thomas replied. Newt frowned, though he knew good and well what today was.
"I don't know." He turned to Minho and woke him up. "Min, what's today?" he asked, sending a smirk Minho's way that Thomas couldn't see. Minho sighed and "thought" for a while before deciding.
"Um, it's Monday, why?" he answered. Newt snapped his fingers as if he'd remembered something important. Thomas's eyes lit up. Maybe they really did remember.
"Of course! It's Monday! And that means you, mister, have to go to school today. Hurry and get ready, okay?" Newt said. Thomas's face fell, but he moved out of bed to get ready for school. He was sixteen, so he still had to go to school. Newt was seventeen and Minho was eighteen, but Newt graduated early and Minho took online college.
Thomas trudged through the house, getting ready. He took an extra long shower and ate really slowly, as to give Newt and Minho time to remember what day it actually was. But unfortunately for Thomas, they never did.
"Come on, babe. You've gotta eat faster; you're going to be late," Minho said, hugging Thomas from behind and kissing the boy's neck.
"Okay. But are you sure you don't know what today is?" Thomas asked, a bit of hope gleaming in his heart. Minho patted him on the shoulder and walked around to the other side of the counter.
"I already told you, it's Monday, babe," Minho answered.
"But..." Thomas started. Newt cut him off.
"No buts; eat, Tommy. Don't want you to bloody starve, do we?" Newt said. Thomas grumbled and continued to eat. When he finished, he grabbed his lunch from the counter, pulled on his shoes, grabbed his backpack, and kissed Minho and Newt before heading out the door and to the local highschool. As he was walking, Teresa came rushing out of her house and joined him.
"Morning, Tom. Happy birthday!" she greeted. Thomas sighed.
"Not so happy; Newt and Minho forgot," he complained. Teresa wrapped an arm around his shoulders.
"Hey. I'm sure they have something planned. They wouldn't forget, would they?" she assured Thomas. He sighed again.
"I don't know. They didn't say anything, I couldn't find any presents. Nothing. They just kept telling me it's Monday, nothing else. I really think they forgot, T," he muttered.
