Ninjago: What I've Become

Chapter 1

(No one's POV)

"Mommy! Daddy! I'm scared!" Yells a young toddler's voice.

"Don't worry, Xander. It's okay," says another toddler's voice. The green dragon lands in a huge beautiful forest.

"Xander! Hope! We made it! You can open your eyes now," says Lloyd.

"O-Okay, Daddy," says Xander, and then gasps in awe. "Its so pretty, Daddy," says Hope; Lloyd ruffles the young three-year-old's hair.

"Come on, you two," says Kaila as they start walking. Yes, it's been three years since the final battle, and Lloyd and Kaila had gotten married a few months after it. They had gotten two babies, Hope and Xander. They also happened to be twins, both at the age of three.

"Mommy, I'm tired," says Xander.

"Xander, please be patient," says Kaila.

"Can't we just use Daddy's dragon!" Hope exclaims.

"Hope, Daddy can't always use his powers. We have to rely on ourselves sometimes." Lloyd explains.

"You sound like grandpa Garmadon now!" said Xander. You might already know about Garmadon's sacrifice in order to save his family. Ever since that incident, Lloyd has tried to put on a strong face so people wouldn't swarm him with worried questions. Hope smacks Xander's arm giving him the don't-say-that look.

"It's okay, Hope." Lloyd says, and after a pause, adds, "I'm fine."

With that, Hope runs up to Lloyd, asking, "Are you sure, Daddy?"

"Yes, Hope. Thank you for your concern," he says with a sigh that worries Kaila even more. They soon approach a large area of green trees and lots of flowers surrounding a huge waterfall in the center. "Well, we made it," says Lloyd.

"It's beautiful, Daddy," awed Xander.

"I know it is, now go have fun with your sister," replies Lloyd, and with that, Xander runs off to play with Hope."Finally some peace and quiet!" groans Lloyd as he sits down under a big tree's shadow.

Kaila just giggles at his comment. "Come on, Lloyd. It's not that bad. "You have me to help you out," she adds, kissing his cheek.

"I know you will," he says, as he smiles towards his beautiful wife. After a few seconds of silence, Kaila sighs leaning closer towards Lloyd. "Lloyd, I know you still miss your father. Don't deny it."

"Oh, no, no, no. It's not Dad . . . Even though I do miss him . . . Just remembering . . . someone," he finishes as he lies down on the grass and stares into the clear sky. Kaila lies down beside him, enjoying the beauty of her surroundings.

"Daddy, Mommy, look at what we found!" yell Hope and Xander simultaneously. "We're coming!" Lloyd yells back and gets up. "Come on, K." He extends a hand to help Kaila up. She smiles at his offer and gladly excepts.

*At the Monastery*

(Jay's POV)

I can't believe I actually married Nya! After the return of the overlord, our relationship had started crumbling and now its back on track and I'm so happy! Even Kai is happy with his new girlfriend, Skylar.

We also managed to get back Zane after that tragic day of losing him. He even has P.I.X.E.L's hard drive stuck in his head after her body got ruined and destroyed. Ah, robot love.

Sadly for Cole, he'd become a ghost, which had really saddened us all. At least he got used to it now and is actually happy with it! Lloyd had married my sister, which I don't completely approve of, but they did land me an adorable Niece and Nephew, Hope and Xander, which means I'm an uncle now!

But, you know, something has been off with Lloyd. Except for the fact that he has lost his dad and misses him so badly, he keeps an almost half burned picture of a girl in his room. It kind of got Kaila jealous at first, but then he reassured her that it wasn't what she thought it was.

I'm dying to know who she is but every time we ask him, he hesitates, and changes the subject. It's like he doesn't want to talk about her.

I wonder who she is, though, I think.

"Jay!" yells Nya, snapping me out of my thoughts. "What were you thinking?" she asks while smiling at me warmly. "Nothing too important," I say.

"Well, don't do that again. It's not like you to have that wondering look on your face," she says. Once again, she gets to my feelings switch and kisses me on the cheek.

"How do you always know when I need some cheering up?" I ask. "Girl power!" she giggles before we got lost in a warm kiss.

*In the forest*

(Kaila's POV)

"Mommy, did you see that? I found a rainbow butterfly!" yells Hope in excitement.

"Good job, my little butterfly" I say as I ruffle her short, blonde hair.

"Alright, Xander. What did you want me to see?" asks Lloyd.

"Oh, nothing. It's just-" A water ball gets shot at hope and I, getting us wet.

"Uh, K, did you just-" Lloyd starts. "No!" I quickly respond, interrupting him. I look at Xander in shock. He has that exact same cheesy smile Lloyd has. "You got your powers already?" Lloyd yells. "Yeah," he says.

"Aw, I want powers! Not fair!" says Hope.

"Don't worry, you'll get them soon. Who knows, maybe you'll get Daddy's powers, " I say

"Really?" she asks, her eyes lighting up, and smiles at Lloyd. "Yes, dear. Maybe," he answers. She starts jumping up and down in happiness.

"Whoa, whoa! Calm down, Hope. We only said maybe," says Lloyd.

"I know, Daddy, but I'm still happy about that," says Hope.

"Wait! I just got the best prank idea ever!" Xander yells happily.

"Xander," Lloyd warns.

"He's too much like you, Lloyd." I say and giggling.

"I know he is," he answers as he ruffles Xander's hair.

"Wait, is that a good thing?" asks Xander. "Um, yeah," says Lloyd, and Xander's face lights up even brighter.

(?'s POV)

I stand behind a far away tree watching him. Things have changed ever since that day. The day I stopped seeing him. My brother says I could come every once in a while to check on him, and I'm thankful for that, but sometimes, I wish I could just gather up my strength and tell him the truth.

Even though its a sad and hard truth, I wish I could tell him. A tear sheds in my eyes as I remember that painful memory. . .

"Luna! Where are you?" A young boy had yelled.

"I'm - I'm sorry . . . I have to go, goodbye," I had said as I ran to Mizar. "Why should we . . . why?" I had yelled at him.

"It's for the best, Luna. You'll see him again . . . One day," he answered. Tears started to stream down my cheeks.

"Father caused all this. It's all his fault that this is happening!" I yelled out in anger and sadness. I could hear the small boy cry out in pain, sadness, and worry. I'm sorry this had to happen. I walk away from the burning building.

"It's okay. It's okay," says a woman as she tries to comfort the young boy.

I'll return to you, one day.

Shaking the memory from my mind, I break into tears as I watch him.

It's not time, yet.

I walk away in my black cape wondering when the time will come when I tell him everything I hid from him.

I wish I had the guts.
