Early the next morning, Freya and Iggy were the first ones awake. Usually though, Azalea was first one awake.
"Hm. That's weird. I didn't hear them come in last night." Freya wondered out loud as she searched the giant fridge in the kitchen.
"What?" Iggy said from the table.
"Aza and the King of Quiet." Freya said.
"Oh. Fang and Azalea. Well Fang did disappear last night, so did Azalea." Iggy stated obviously. Freya smirked and rolled her eyes.
"Good job, Captain. Gold star for you." Freya laughed. Iggy gave her a sarcastic laugh and wrinkled his nose.
"Ten bucks says they're back at the observatory." Iggy said.
"Meh, no way. I know winged best girl better than that. Ten bucks says they are... ohhh... say… in the greenhouse?" Freya chose.
"You're on." Iggy said. He knew Fang. Freya linked her arm into his and led him out to the greenhouse.
"Closest place first," Freya explained, "They don't seem to be on the first floor though..."
"Is there a second floor?" Iggy asked, getting a feel for all the sounds of wildlife and stuff around him.
"Yupp."
Half a mile in, Freya and Iggy came to the metal stairs. Freya looked between Iggy and the stairs and frowned. If they flew, Iggy might accidentally fly through the glass ceiling above the second floor if he flew too high. But, it was better than having him go up the stairs.
"Think if I told you when to stop flying you could manage not to break this house?" Freya teased.
"I am sure I could manage." Iggy said sarcastically.
"Good." Freya extended her massive eagle wings out and jumped up into the air, allowing her wings to carry her up further. The blonde mutant reached the top with ease, while Iggy flew slowly.
"Stop." Freya said just as the male reached about a foot above the ground before tucking in his wings and allowing himself to take the short fall. Freya helped his stance steady before leading him further into the top floor. They didn't have to walk very far before Freya found them.
"Whoa!" Freya smiled.
"What?" Iggy asked. But Freya just smiled. Fang and Azalea lay on the flower crowded floor, Fang with his arm around Azalea, who had her head nestled gently next to his. Freya stifled a knowing laugh, which came out as a snort and woke Fang up. The darker haired male's eyes shot open and he began to sit up until he saw the two in front of him. His facial expression turned from alert, to confused, to a mixture of realization and then he looked down towards the sleeping form next to him.
Uh-oh, did they really just fall asleep together?!
Azalea sighed and shifted next to him, her head running into his arm. Wincing, the female sat up and squinted her eyes from the sunlight in her face.
“Aren’t you guys supposed to have like… supersonic hearing? That’s what the little blonde one was saying earlier.” Freya asked, giving them a few minutes before she let loose the storm of questions she had for Azalea.
“I was sleeping pretty hard.” Came Fang’s reply.
“Mhm. Anyways, come on inside, lover bird and lover bat, we need to start feeding the crowd.” Freya shrugged. Fang and Azalea nodded. The two were now a foot apart from each other, feeling a little embarrassed from falling asleep together. Azalea stood up and walked down the stairs and out in a rushed manner while Fang stayed and walked back with the other three.
Freya sighed as she watched Azalea leave.
‘That girl has a crush on him… big time.’ Freya thought before ushering the other two along.

When the three stragglers made it back to the house, Azalea and Keziah were already in the kitchen. The smell of pancakes and sizzling bacon assaulted Freya’s nose.
“Mmmm…” Freya hummed, washing her hands at the kitchen sink. She was preparing to help her two friends when Keziah stopped her.
“You need to go take care of the problem in the living room.” Keziah hissed quietly.A look of confusion washed over Freya’s pretty features.
“What problem?” Fang asked.
“Oh, now you choose to use that supersonic hearing.” Freya voiced her thoughts, rolling her eyes.
“What do you mean? Did you guys run into trouble again?” Keziah asked. Freya shook her head.
“No, it’s just- you know what, that’s a story for me and you later. Now what is so important in the living room?” Freya questioned, tapping her foot in an impatient rhythm.
“The girl, Maximum, is in there. She keeps asking for Fang and won’t eat, rest, or be cooperative for that matter, until she speaks to Fang. I think Maximum thinks we kidnapped you and are holding you hostage or something. She keeps treating me like the enemy or something.” Keziah huffed, drilling into the dark haired male with her eyes.
Fang glanced over towards Azalea, who had a weird expression on her face, but did not meet his gaze. She kept her eyes concentrated on her task at hand; making pancakes. Fang sighed inaudibly and nodded at Keziah before walking out of the kitchen and down the short maze of hallways to the living room.
