Azalea let herself out through the greenhouse' main entrance and walked out to meet the two newcomers. The first one to land was a short, green eyed girl with dyed bubble gum pink hair and black bat wings protruding from her shoulders. Azalea knew her as her mutated friend Keziah Sky. As soon as Keziah made contact with the evergreen grass below her, she tossed a mango at Azalea. Quickly, the brunette girl caught it.

"We found a good sack of them." Keziah smirked as the other female touched down. This one had long, bright blonde hair that was tied up into a ponytail. Her blue eyes were full of nothing but playfulness, but that was Freya Hawthorne for you, it was a natural look for her. Azalea took the sack from her blonde Freya and opened it, examining the fruits.

"Perfect, eh?" Freya smiled, her hands full with other goods that they had raided from a house a few states away.

"They'll do for now." Azalea sighed, teasingly. Both Keziah and Freya rolled their eyes.

"Hey," Keziah growled playfully, "It took us awhile to get those Mangos."

Azalea just smirked and punctured a hole in the mango with two small fangs, sipping the juice out of it and walking back into the Greenhouse.

"Silly Child." Freya mumbled. A small butterfly escaped the open door of the greenhouse and fluttered eagerly towards the lingering two teenagers. Keziah stuck out her finger and allowed the small Monarch butterfly to land on her finger.

"Ah," Keziah smiled faintly, "Hello Mirette, how are you feeling?"

The butterfly opened and closed it's wings slowly, as if replying. Freya laughed.

"Sounds like she's feelin' pretty good today. How about some flyin' later?" Freya asked. The butterfly quickly took flight from Keziah's finger and flew around Freya a few times before landing on her shoulder.

"It's a date then." Freya smirked.

Fang yawned audibly and stretched his arms out. They had been flying forever, and the only thing that kept them from stopping anywhere was the fact that no one knew where they were going. It had been hours, and he had watched the sun rise, and then sink a little bit lower each passing hour. Fang looked back and saw Angel, asleep in Iggy's arms, and Iggy, looking a bit tired. He knew they would have to stop soon... but wait..

Where was Gasman?

Confused, the dark haired boy searched the vast blue sky for any sign of Gazzy. Nothing was there.

"Iggy," Fang said slowly, "Where is Gazzy?"

Iggy looked confused for a moment and shrugged. Fang backtracked in his mind. When he had looked back ten minutes ago, Gasman had been there. Fang sighed.

"We have to turn around." Fang spoke, switching directions.

Troublesome kid.

Azalea had been taking a peaceful walk in the forest that surrounded their house. The sounds of nature were comforting, she noted as she stretched her own black, bat wings out and gave them some air. A small smile found it's way to the girl's face until she saw movement to her right. Azalea entered alert mode and grabbed a large stick. The strange thing rustled in the bushes and Azalea raised the stick a little higher until a little boy with blonde hair and wide blue eyes walked out of the bushes. The mutated girl's heart was racing at six million beats per minute as she put down the stick and backed up.

Oh no.

Oh no.

A human just discovered her.

With her wings OUT.

Azalea's golden-brown eyes were wide as she silently backed up and opened her wings more, ready to take off, Until the little boy spoke.

"Wait!! You don't have to be afraid of me!! I promise!!!" the boy said. What he did next, left Azalea truly speechless. He took a yellow raincoat off of him and unfurled feathery, light wings, but one seemed to be injured. Azalea gasped and covered her mouth.

"W-who are you?" the kid asked. Azalea cleared her throat.

"I'm Azalea. Who are you and how did you get those?" she said, gesturing to his wings.

"They call me Gasman, but you can call me Gazzy. I probably got mine the same place you got those." Gazzy said, pointing at her dark wings. Azalea nodded.

"The School." both said in unison. Azalea's expression saddened. He was just a kid.

Those sick bastards.

Another rustling sound was heard and Azalea spun around. A man was standing there, but with further observation, they learned it was robotic.

"Oh no." Azalea's heart dropped. Another android like thing came from the right, and another. Soon, Gazzy and Azalea were surrounded. Instinctively, Azalea grabbed Gazzy and jumped up, pushing her wings through the air and flying high into the sky. Both thought that they would be okay, until the enemy began somehow levitating towards them. They didn't have wings, so how were they doing it!?

Finally, Azalea understood. They had jetpack- like things on their metal shoes.

"What do we do?" Gazzy said. Azalea held up a finger, gesturing silence and then opened her mouth. To Gazzy, it looked like scream that lasted for about fifteen seconds, but no sound whatsoever came out. Then, Azalea pursed her lips and turned back to the situation.

"um..what was that?" Gazzy asked, cleary confused. Azalea just smiled reassuringly.

"It was a sound waayyy beyond your ear's frequency. Help is on the way," Azalea nodded, "For now, we just have to hold them off."

Next thing Gazzy knew, Azalea was speeding through the air expertly, with the enemy on their tail. One man took out a gun and shot a bullet that hit Azalea at the top of her left wing. Wincing, she began to fall. Gazzy panicked a bit inside until he looked up at Azalea, who's eyes were locked onto something. Suddenly, she began to loosen her grip on him.

"W-what are you doing!?" Gazzy shrieked. Azlea shook her head.

"Just trust me," She yelled and locked her eyes back onto the strange thing, "CATCH!"

Azalea threw Gazzy and he shut his eyes tight. Just when he thought he could kiss his life goodbye, a pink blur rushed by and caught him. Gasman opened his eyes and found a pair of green ones looking curiously at him.

"Azalea what the hell did you get yourself into now?!" Keziah screeched. Azalea glared.

"I don't know. But be careful, they've got guns. Where's Freya?" Azalea yelled as their enemies got closer. Sure enough, Freya swooped up and took an enemy down.

"Speak of the devil and she shall appear." Keziah mumbled.

"Shut up." Freya said as she flew up next to the others. Freya Hawthorne looked up just as a bullet flew past her face and hit Azalea in the shoulder.

"Ah!" A small gasping sound escaped Azalea's mouth as she quickly lost her balance and her wings had been tucked in from shock of the impact. She was loosing elevation fast and Keziah was about to swoop down for her when something sped right down and held her. Keziah was gaping, for a handsome, dark haired boy with ebony bird wings was hovering below her, holding Azalea.

"What the hell is going on here?" was all Keziah could whisper.
