Keziah had only looked away for a moment but in those few moments, Freya had angrily taken down three of those robot-things.
"You really don't want to deal with someone who has only had three hours of sleep." Freya screeched furiously. Keziah could only watch on in horror as her friend took her anger out on the enemy.
Oh well, better them than her.
The newcomer flew up next to her, holding a bewildered and hysterical Azalea. Now this was a sight for Keziah, more becuase Azalea was NEVER "hysterical."
"Will you stay still?" the boy asked calmly. Azalea looked a bit surprised.
"Who're you?" he asked both girls. Keziah and Azalea hesitated. What if he was the enemy?
"Save the names for later," Keziah said, slightly defensively, "We have a battle to attend to."
The dark haired teen looked down at the female he currently held in his arms. Her brown hair hung long and her wide golden brown eyes had a sign of fright in them.
Because of him?
Fang began to panick a little inside. No one had ever given him that look, except Maximum.
And he wasn't so great with fright, especially in strangers.
"Are you...okay?" he asked her. Azalea nodded and winced as she tried to move her wings.
"I'm Fang." Fang said, helping her back into the air. Expertly, Azalea flapped her massive leather wings and began to stay in the sky.
"I'm Azalea. Thanks for the help," Azalea nodded before looking over at Gazzy, "Is he-"
"Yeah," Fang nodded, "He's apart of my flock."
Azalea looked confused but before she could question, Keziah yelled for her.
"Aza! We need to use our voices!" Keziah said, sounding a bit desperate. With determination in her eyes, Azalea flew up next to Keziah, leaving Freya to take Fang and Gazzy to the ground below them.
"Plug your ears." Freya advised. As soon as Azalea and Keziah were sure everyone had their ears plugged before Azalea let her vocals loose. Keziah and Azalea created something that sounded like a super sonic scream that ended up frying the enemy's circutboards. They began to go whacko and finally exploded, falling in pieces to the distant world below. Azalea took a deep breath, trying to catch some air before the two bat mutated teens touched down on the ground next to the rest of the group. Fangcould not believe what he had just seen. The Flyboys exploded without contact.
"How did you do that?" Gazzy said, absolutely ecstatic with the way the explosion went. Both Keziah and Azalea smiled happily. Before they could answer, two others landed on the ground next to Fang.
"Fang!! What-- who are they?" Iggy said, hearing Gazzy talk to someone. Azalea tilted her head curiously until she looked into the blonde male's eyes.
He was blind.
"I'm Keziah Sky," Keziah introduced herself. Fang pointed to each member of the group and named them.
"The one you met prior to me is Gasman, we call him Gazzy. The younger blonde one is Angel, and the tall one right there is Iggy," Fang said, "I'm Fang."
"I'm Freya!" Freya said, raising a finger and pointing it to herself.
"And this little hellion right here is Azalea Safter." Keziah said, ruffling Azalea's thick waves. Azalea frowned at Keziah and then waved to everyone.
"Y-you...have wings from the School.." Angel said, her adorable face was twisted into confusion. Azalea nodded.
"Yeah.. unfortunately... the School runs in my family." Azalea said, leaving it at that.
"Same. So where ya headed?" Freya mumbled, trying to change the subject. Her eyes wandered over all four of them. Gasman shrugged.
"We don't know yet." Fang said, gripping the back of his neck in a nervous way. Azalea watched as Keziah and Freya exchanged excited looks. Azalea looked on suspiciously; she knew where this was going.
"You can stay with us for awhile until you do." Keziah said, nodding at Gazzy.
"We won't take no for an answer," Freya said stubbornly, "Right Aza?"
Azalea didn't answer, she just looked at Fang with a studious gaze. A trace of a frown played where a happy smirk was not but five minutes ago. She looked over the group, and when her eyes hit Angel, she froze.
"Shes Mirette's age almost, a bit older." Keziah said, noticing Azalea's notice of Angel and slipped in a little quote. Azalea's eyes softened. She was just a child... and she had wings grafted onto her.
Fang suddenly had the feeling they weren't really wanted. He shook his head, staring intensely at Azalea.
"R-really, We dont--" Fang started.
"Stay." Azalea said. It didn't sound like an offer, but more of a demand. Gazzy and Angel looked up at Fang with small pouts ready to play on their faces.
"Fang!! We're tired! C'mon!" Gazzy pleaded.
"Yeah," Angel said, putting on her innocent face, "Can we stay?"
"Of course," Freya smiled at Gazzy and Angel, answering for Fang before he had the chance to, "I said we wouldn't take no for an answer."
