Thirty minutes later, everyone was awake and ready. Iggy and Fang stood at the edge of the rooftop, waiting for Gazzy and Angel to finish doing whatever it is they were doing. Dylan stood a few feet behind Fang with Max. Fang sighed impatiently, not because of the younger members of the flock, but because of the awkwardness and hurt that hung in the air. But Max took this as his 'ready to leave' sigh. She looked taken aback, biting back salty tears, she turned and jumped down.

"I'll go get Angel and Gazzy. The quick this ends, the quicker life can go on." she said coldly, flying down. Fang rolled his eyes.

"Typical Max." Fang mumbled. He turned to stare at the spot where she once stood. Dylan frowned and stared coldly. Just the "perfect" mutation opened his mouth to speak, Max returned with the two siblings.

"Ready now?" Iggy asked. Gasman and Angel nodded. Max's eyes began to water, but didn't spill over, as she hugged Angel, Iggy and Gazzy. She got to Fang and looked him dangerously in the eyes.

"If you lose them, I will kill you personally." Was all Max had to say. But it was enough for Fang, The dark haired boy smirked and turned away, expanding his wings and taking off with the others. A few feet into the air, he turned and saw a tear fall from Maximum's face. He faced forwards once more and closed his eyes, supressing his sudden will to stay.

"I'm sorry." Fang whispered as he flew up next to the others.
