Elisa's Overthrow

Elisa now 16 years old had grown terribly fond of royalty. She knew she was royalty, but she didn't consider herself royalty if she was not a Queen. She thought about being Queen every waking moment of every single day. She thought about power so much that Elisa had grown to fear herself. She did not trust any of her thoughts. She carefully thought through everything she wanted to do. She was afraid that if she didn't think through her actions, her mind would take over. She would become an impulsive and evil psychopath(if you wanna say it like that).
Elisa was lying on her bed, lost and deeply pulled into her thoughts. Suddenly she was provoked by her favorite servant, "Yes, Georgina," she spoke. "Your Father, King Stefan, would like to see you downstairs. He has a surprise for you," the servant said as she took Elisa's hand and accompanied her down the stairs to the atrium of the castle where King Stefan awaited his daughter. "There you are Elisa! I have much planned for us today. We will truly have some, how do you say 'father daughter bonding time,'" he said "Yes, father I am sure we will," she spoke with a laugh and a smile the King hadn't seen for a while. "So, let's start with your presents." "Presents?" "Why of course, now do you like what I got you? It's in you favorite color, red right!" " Yes Father the dress it's, it's beautiful! And oh there's more! Oh... Um (in a stuttering voice) I didn't um really expect those shoes um red and black leather heels um... Gorgeous haha!" Elisa said as King Stefan picked up "Well, the presents are just a start. I am taking you on a tour of the jewel room. When you are Queen in, some 10-20 years, you will have complete access to the jewel room. Isn't that incredible?" "Yes, father," she said, but all she could think about was her fathers words about how she was going to be Queen in 10-20 years! That was a lifetime to her! She knew her mindset was wrong. She was supposed to be the good princess. So, she went on with her father to the jewel room.
The jewel room was magnificent. With jewels and crowns and tiaras she had never even seen or heard of. She saw paintings of royalty from past history of Luxembourg. Her grandparents stood watching her. Still, she couldn't live with herself. She wanted to have access to jewel rooms and crowns and adoring citizens waiting to see her outside the castle so she said to her father, "Excuse me, Father, but I must leave... Uh... Goodbye!" "Wait! Elisa where are you going?" The King screamed, but the Princess was already long gone.
Elisa went to her room where, Georgina, her favorite servant awaited her. "Georgina, what are you doing here?" the Princess asked. "Sit down, Princess we are going to have a talk."
The moment Elisa sat down Georgina looked into her eyes and said "Elisa, your Father cannot be King anymore. You have to overthrow him, you WILL overthrow him... Tonight. Now Elisa listen to me carefully, you will excuse yourself for your behavior in the jewel room today..." "Wait how do you know what u did in the jewel room today? Why should I trust you over my own father!" "You should trust me because I am trustworthy Elisa! Now stop shouting." For some reason what Georgina said led a wave of relief through Elisa. "Good Elisa, now you need to listen to me. There is no other way to do this do you understand? Now, you need to ship off your Father to Spain... I'm sorry it has to be this way..." "What? Spain! ARE YOU CRAZY GEORGINA! DO YOU WANT THAT NEW QUEEN ISABEL TO MURDER HIM?! Hhh... How could you?" Elisa yelled. "ELISA! ENOUGH!" Silence took over the room. "Now, you need to make a deal with Queen Isabel." "How am I supposed to do that Spain is so far and you said you want to do this tonight?!" "No panicking Elisa, all YOU have to do is write the deal. I'll take care of how it gets to Spain. In the deal you can write that you don't want your Father to be killed. Tell her you want to live a luxurious life style. Just like the one he had in Luxembourg. Calm down Elisa, everything will be alright... Look, I know you wanna be Queen more than anything in the world and I can grant that for you. All you have to do is write that deal. Now, get on with it."
So, Isabel sat down at her desk to write the deal. "Dear Queen Isabel of Spain,
I would like to send my Father, King Stefan of Luxembourg, to you on a boat... Tonight. I, Princess Elisa of Luxembourg, would like to obtain the throne. Now, I do have some conditions. I want my Father to be kept alive and well taken care of. He should have access to a luxurious lifestyle like he did in Luxembourg. Now, I'm not asking you to make my Father, King of Spain, but if you could agree to these simple terms that would be splendid.

So, the letter was sent out and within a few hours Georgina had brought back Queen Isabel's response.

" Dear Princess (still not a Queen) Elisa of Luxembourg,

I would love to take in your humble Father (as long as he doesn't call himself King, I've had enough of those around here) and I agree to your conditions, but I have my own conditions as well. 1. You are never to speak of this deal ever again or I will send my troops to your small little 'country' and I will destroy and take the land for myself. You do know Spain is much larger than Luxembourg.

2. I will keep your Father in one of the outer estates. I need you to tell everyone he is no longer interested in being King and you will do the same.

3. You will not be notified when your Father does pass. You will find out a year later.

These are all my conditions and I don't wish for more.

While reading the letter a tear dropped from Elisa's eye and finally turned around to Georgina and said "I... I... I agree."
In light of this, Elisa went downstairs and apologized to her father for the way she had acted in the jewel room and told her father she loved him, "Father, I love you SO much and I will never stop loving you!" " Alright Elisa, I love you too it's ok."  "So, Father I want to take you out to the ship show tonight. After the show the boats are sailing off and I really want to see them. I cleared your schedule for tonight." "Yes, darling we can go that would be magnificent."
     Elisa and Stefan got in the carriage and within 20 minutes they had arrived at the boat show. Elisa ran over to the boat that said "Spain" and yelled "Father, Father! Can we go on board?" "Of course, darling." So, they boarded the ship, Elisa shoved Stefan into a room and said, "Goodbye, Stefan, I'm the Queen now. I hope you like Spain! Goodbye!" Elisa ran off the ship, straight to the carriage and when she finally go to the castle she ran to her room shut the door and fell to her knees, hysterically crying. Georgina ran in and Elisa just started rambling and then she just stopped, "... I'm... I'm Queen... I'm QUEEN Elisa of Luxembourg... But, my Father is not... King... Stefan of Luxembourg... Because I'm Queen!!! Yes! I am Queen! Georgina announce to Luxembourg Father is gone. The Coronation is coming!
