08 // pretty intense

After weeks of walking and hiding in trees I came upon a house. There was a man standing outside. He looked familiar. I walked closer but had my my bow ready to shoot if needed. I stepped on a stick and it snapped causing the guy to look up.

"Evelyn" he said.

"Tyreese!?" I said.

I laid my bow down and hugged him. He hugged me back.

"Are you hurt?" He asked

"No I'm okay" I said.

"Where Sammy?" He asked.

"H-he was shot" I said looking at my feet.

Way to ruin the moment.

"I'm sorry" he said hugging me again.

"Are you alone?" I asked.

"No Carol went to hunt and Judith is inside" he said.

"Judith?!" I said getting excited.

"Ya come on" he said opening the front door.

I ran to a box with a baby blanket inside. I looked in and saw the beautiful baby.

"Hi Judith" I said picking her up.

She giggled at me. I missed her. I'm so glad I found somebody in the group.

Terminus was crazy. They tried killing us after they said it was a safe zone. Luckily, we fought back and escaped. We were in the woods walking when a familiar face appeared. Daryl dropped his crossbow and ran to her. Carol. He ran and her tightly. Then my dad walked over and hugged her.

"You helped us?" Dad asked.

Carol nodded with a smile. She explained that she was living in a house in the woods. We were walking down a path and saw a house.

"There's someone I think you guys would want to see" Carol said.

Dad and I looked up and saw Tyreese holding Judith. We ran to her and Sasha ran to Tyreese.

Dad and I were hugging Judith when I heard a voice come from behind me. A very familiar one.

"Carl?" The voice said.

I turned around fast to see the girl I'm in love with.

"Evelyn" I yelled.

We ran towards each other. Once we met Evelyn kissed me. I kissed back. Her arms went around my neck and mine went around her waist. There were 'awes' and claps coming from the group.

We pulled apart. Evelyn had tears in her eyes.

"I told you I'd find you" I said.

She just smiled and hugged me again.

"I thought you were dead " she said.

"I'm here now" I said.

"Evelyn your okay" Maggie said pulling Evelyn away from me so she can hug her.

Dad said we shouldn't stay at the house so we were all walking through the woods. I was walking next to Evelyn holding Judith.

"So that kiss earlier was pretty intense" I said.

"It was" she said.

"We should do it again sometime" I said.

Evelyn didn't answer she just kissed me.

"Evelyn I like you a lot I know it's really cheesy but I have since the day we met and what I've learned from this whole zombie apocalypse thing is you gotta live while you can so will you be my girlfriend?" I said.

I finally had enough confidence to ask her out.

"Yes asshole" she said smiling.

She's finally mine.

I then grabbed her hand with my free one and laced our fingers together. I know your like why the hell would you get a girlfriend in the middle of this. Well ov never had one I mean I was 10 when this started and I believe Evelyn and I will survive. I think all of us will survive.

I have hope.
