I walked to the party with my dad. The house was huge and full. Everyone in Alexandria were there it was crazy.

"Hey Carl" Ron said walking over with Mikey.

"Hey" I said then walking away with them.

"Where's Enid?" I asked.

"I don't know" Mikey answered.

"Where's your hot girlfriend?" Ron said.

Something came over me. My hands balled into a fist and pushed him against the wall.

"Don't call MY girlfriend hot she's mine not yours" I said.

"Carl get off him" Mikey said pulling me off.

"Sorry dude" Ron said.

"Ya me too" I said with a sigh.

"Hug it out" Mikey said.

I gave him a quick hug then walked back a little. Mikey started a conversation trying to shake off what just happened. Which worked.

"Hurry Evelyn" Maggie yelled from the other side of the street.

I rolled my eyes and crossed the street. I honestly don't wanna go to this party but since I can't go with Sash to shoot I have to come here.

Maggie,Glenn and I finally got there. I saw Taina sitting at a table so I walked over.

"Sup" I said sitting down.

"Oh hey" she said smiling.

"Why are you alone?" I asked.

"Oh Ron and Mikey were being asses so I walked away" she said.

I nodded.

"I think Carl is with them" She added.

"I don't feel like walking around looking like an idiot and I'm not gonna leave you alone" I said with a laugh.

We started talking. I found out that she had a boyfriend but he got bit while on a run. I told her about the whole prison governor shit and Sammy...

"Hey I'm gonna go find Evelyn" I said.

"Okay" Mikey and Ron said in unison.

I walked around till I heard her voice. I walked into a room where a table was and saw her and Taina. Taina saw me and I hushed her. I walked behind Evelyn and covered her eyes.

"Guess who?" I said.

"Ummm" she said pretending to think about it.

"Is it Coral?" She said.

"Yup" I said taking my hands off and kissing her cheek.

"You guys are adorable" Taina said in awe.

We laughed then said thank you.

"So how do guys like it here?" Taina asked.

"It's okay" Evelyn said.

"Okay? It's great here were protected" Taina defended.

"Have you ever been outside these walls?" I asked.

"No there's no need to" she said.

"What are you gonna do if somehow walkers get in or people tear down the walls you won't know how to survive" I said.

"This place is sheltering you from what's actually going on" Evelyn added.

"Ugh Whatever" Taina said getting up and walking away.

"I don't want any of us to end of like them" I said.

"I don't either" Evelyn said.

The party ended and everyone began to go home. I walked Evelyn to her house.

"Tonight was better than I thought" Evelyn said.

"You know except for the Taina thing" she added.

"True" I said.

We got to her house and I walked her to the door.

"Goodnight" I said kissing her.

"Goodnight" she said.

This actually felt like we went on a normal date. It felt good to not worry about things for awhile.

"I love you" she said kissing me.

"I love you too" I said smiling.

Once I got to my room I broke. I slid down the door crying. I may seem all tough and shit but things still hurt. The things Abraham say or the things Enid says. Enid has been saying stupid shit. I don't know why it's getting to me this stuff doesn't usually get to me.

I keep having this dream about Sammy. The moment he was shot replays over and over again. I miss him so much. I'm lost without him. I keep trying to convince myself he's not dead. I tell myself:
"He's not dead just somewhere else"
Or
"He's safe now"

"Why'd you have to take him? Why not me? He was such a good little boy. It should have been me. It's all my fault he's gone. I should have stayed with him but no I went and fought. I'm such a dumbass.

I was crying really hard when I heard a knock.

"Evelyn?"
