The ride home was long and quiet. Not to mention the fact that I really couldn't talk and Mason was afraid to because he didn't want to scare me anymore than he already had.

It had taken seven people to wrestle me into the car, Mason not being one of them because he had already scared me by touching me. It took a long time, but they finally got me in and buckled up.

I didn't want to go home. There were too many to count. One I grew up in and had all my memories and my first boyfriend, who turned out to be a rapist. The second one was the home of the man who kidnapped me, but also the man I had fallen for over time. And the third one was the home I was traumatized in; the one I had gotten raped in.

I have no home.

Within little time, the car pulled up in front of the house and was put in park.

"Can you get out by yourself, or do you need help?" He asked, turning in his seat to look at me.

"I'm fine," I mumbled and absentmindedly reached for the handle.

As I stepped out, a cold breeze hit my bare skin, amusing goosebumps to spring up I'm single-file lines all over my body.

The house didn't seem any different from when I left. A warm glow came from in the kitchen, living room, and front entry area, making the house seem appealing.

"Are you ready to go inside?" He asked, making no advancements towards me.

I nodded and started forward, towards the front door, slowly. I wasn't quite sure if I wanted to be here.

"I mean, if I left in the first place that surely means I didn't, right?"

"No. It doesn't mean that. I tripped and fell."

"But you still went willingly." My conscience snapped back.

"I didn't really have much choice."

"But you still did it."

I sighed. Arguing with myself was getting me no where. I can't honestly say I didn't want to leave, but then again, I can't say I wanted to.

The door flew open, causing me to jump in surprise, then there were arms around me. Panic fired shots up my spine and I scream started to tear out of my lungs, escaping through my mouth.

"Get off her! You're scaring her!"

I felt large hands get between the person who had a death grip on me and myself. The person was pried off me and taken back into the house, probably to be told what had happened and the now set rules everyone has to follow concerning me. I looked up when the sound of footsteps became clear in my hazy state, as I tried to calm myself down. Jackson stood there, caution streaked through his eyes. He wanted something. But what?
