I threw on a pair of light blue jeans and a white tank top. I grabbed a grey sweater with "NEW YORK" across the chest. Slipping on a pair of light brown boots, I made my way downstairs.

I looked around when I had gotten to the bottom of the stairs. The giant chandelier that hung from the ceiling in the 'lobby' was gorgeous. I walked over to one of the walls, gazing at the beautiful paintings that were lined up in a perfectly straight line. The statues that stood on either side of the inside of the door, that were made of a golden material. It was all so beautiful.

"Rose it's supper time."

The smile that had been on my face had turned into a frown in a split second. All my curiosity and happiness had fled when I heard that name and that voice.

I turned around and looked at him. He was wearing dark blue jeans and a grey shirt that hugged the toned muscles of his torso.

"I'm coming," I whispered.

I walked over to him and into the dining room. The table was huge! It was full of so much food, that you could have fed my mom and me for a month and still have leftovers. My jaw dropped as I stared at what was all before me. There were only two places at the table that were set.

I was lead over to one of the seats, at the end of the table. My chair was pulled out for me, and I sat down. I looked up to see a woman, maybe in her mid-sixties, with light peppery grey hair, and soft hazel eyes. She wore a maid's outfit. I smiled at her and told her to thank you.

She nodded and then took my plate and started filling it for me. I looked across the table to see another girl, twenty-seven or so, light brown hair, and a bit brighter hazel eyes than the older woman. I noticed that Mason was staring at me, and I quickly looked away.

When my plate was set back down in front of me, I gawked at it. It was heaping with what seemed like everything on the table.

"I can't eat all of this," I whispered to the woman.

She looked down at me and then bent down and whispered in my ear.

"It's okay, as long as you eat something, the master won't be upset."

"Okay, thank you," I whispered back and looked down at my plate once more.

I picked up my fork and stabbed something that looked exquisite. When I put it in my mouth and chewed, my mind recognized it as a mushroom.

I finished the mushrooms and ate some of the honey ham that had been put on my plate before I made myself stop. I was still hungry, but this was weird. I was used to never having enough food. I pushed my plate away from me and said.

"I'm full."

"Are you sure? He asked.

I looked up at him and replied.

"Yes, can I go to my room?"

"I suppose so."

I scooted my chair out and stood up. Turning around, I made my way towards the stairs.

In my room, I went straight to the bathroom.

I got undressed and turned on the shower. I wrapped a towel around me and went over to the sink and opened one of the drawers to find razors, pads, makeup, and other things. I grabbed a razor, and then opened one of the cabinet doors. There was an arrangement of soaps, shampoos, and conditioners. I picked out a set of three that smelled like coconuts and shea butter.

When I went back to the shower, the water warmed up much faster than what I was used to. I took my towel off and opened the door, stepping in. I set the stuff down on a shelf and wet my body. I stood there letting the warm water relaxing my aching muscles.

I washed my hair and then my body, being careful not to scrub my wrists. The scars still hadn't healed completely. I sighed, standing there staring at them, tears forming at the edge of my eyelashes. I blinked, and one slipped down my cheek. I wiped it away and quickly finished my shower, making sure my legs were completely smooth.

I stepped out, wrapped the towel around me. I went over to the sink, grabbed another towel, and dried my hair. Then taking a brush, I pulled it through my hair, making sure all the tangles were out.

I walked out of the bathroom and went to my closet. Grabbing underwear, a bra, shorts, and a crop top, I got changed. I took my towel to my hair again, trying to get it as dry as I could.

I walked out of my closet, bent over, ruffling my hair with my towel. When I stood up, I saw Mason standing in my doorway watching me.

"What do you want?" I asked and went back to drying my hair.

"I want to know your name."

"I don't plan on telling you anytime soon so good luck with that."

I heard him sigh. I stood up and threw the towel in a hamper, then sat on my bed and looked at him. His eyes glanced up at mine, and in a split second, he was on top of me, pinning me to the bed, his lips hovering above mine.

My breathing became quick, making my chest rise and fall quicker. I stared at him, my eyes wide with shock. Honestly, I was scared.

Then he got off of me and walked to the door.

"Go to sleep." He said with his back to me, before turning off the lights and walking down the stairs.

I lay there on my bed, staring at the ceiling. I slipped under my blankets and laying there until sleep claimed me.
