Josh?

The blonde waited at the bus stop, watching cars go by. Once the bus finally arrived, he got on and sat near the front. The drive would be at least two hours but he didn't care. He stayed up the entire time, determined to find his friend. The bus neared the destination so he pulled the cord to allow the bus driver to know to stop. The bus eased to a complete stop and the doors swung open. Chris stepped off and paused when the freezing air hit his face. Walking down a familiar snowy path, he remembered that the gate was locked. Remembering the routine of last time, he began to climb the rock walling held the gate. Jumping down, Chris took a moment to look at the mountain. Such a beautiful sight but so many bad memories.

An entrance to the mine was near, though it was in the dangerous area. Chris didn't care, he walked into it with no hesitation. Pulling out the flashlight, the light switched on. He walked slowly and examined the area carefully as the light revealed the path before him. An uneasy sigh passed his lips_the heat of the sigh was shown in the cold air.

The blonde had walked until the entrance was nowhere to be seen. Chris began to have second thoughts about doing this. The scratch marks and blood that painted the walls created a shiver that slithered down the male's spine. Suddenly, he heard a noise. A shreak. A familiar shreak that was never good news. A shreak of a Wendigo.

Chris began to slowly back up, until the shreak was heard behind him. He began to tremble as he slowly turned his head to look behind him. There stood a Wendigo, staring right at him. Chris tensed up and didn't move but it was too late, the Wendigo knew where he is and was ready to attack.

"Shit!" He yelled as he turned, running no where else but deeper into the mines.

As Chris ran, he struggled to get the lighter out of his backpack. As soon as he had a good grip on the lighter, he was suddenly pushed down by a harsh force. When he fell, he ended up dropping the flashlight and busted the lighter. He felt a pressure on his back, making it to where he couldn't move. The hot breath of the Wendigo brushed against his revealed neck; he looked around, trying to find some sort of weapon but found none.

As the Wendigo lunged forward to attack, the creature was suddenly tackled off of Chris. Chris took the chance and stood up but realised that the only path to freedom was blocked by the two creatures brawling. 'Is that...another Wendigo?' Chris questioned to himself.

Chris slowly reached into the backpack to get the flare gun once he saw his attacker being beheaded by its attacker. He could only see the outline of the shadowy figure as the soul of the dead Wendigo left the body. The creature swiftly turned its attention to Chris and began to creep towards the frightened male. Chris managed to pull out the flare gun and aim it towards the creature_his hands unsteady.

Chris's eyes widened when the creature stepped into the light of the fallen flashlight."J-josh?" Chris spoke weakly, seeing what Josh had become.

Josh was slowly turning into one of those creatures, a Wendigo. Chris slightly lowered the aim, nit wanting to shoot. Josh continued to make his way to Chris but the blonde continued backing up until he was pinned back against a wall.

"Josh! Snap out of it! It's me, Chris!"

Those simple words had no effect on Josh; all the creature did was stand up, staring Chris in the eyes as fresh blood ran down his chin and neck. As Josh stood, hunched in front of Chris, hunger filled the poor creature's eyes and began to sniff at Chris's neck. Chris didn't make a move except to drop the gun. He knew that this would probably be the end of it but he didn't look scared. He seemed quite calm. With no hesitation, Chris wrapped his arms around Josh, holding him into a tight embrace.

"If you're hungry, go ahead and eat me. As long as you're the one who kills me, I won't mind. You're my friend, Josh. I don't want to see you suffer." Chris said, gripping tighter onto the torn clothes that Josh wore.
