Hearing a screach, Chris didn't hesitate when he grabbed Josh's wrist and began to run. Josh stumbled a bit but was able to catch up with Chris's pace. The blonde stopped and allowed Josh to get ahead. Josh slowed down, turning his head to see what Chris was doing. The blonde was pushing barrels down their path, trying to hit a beam to make the mine collapse. Once the laste barrel was pushed, Chris began to run again.

"Come on! " Chris yelled, basically dragging Josh behind him.

Chris's plan worked nearly perfectly. He should have waited until they were closer to the exit. The mine began to collapse behind them, rubble flying everywhere. Making it to the exit, they both jumped out and tumbled down the snowy ground they landed upon. Chris groaned when he finally stopped tumbling, he slowly sat up.

"Fuck..." he mumbled. "Josh?"

Chris heard Josh groan and saw a hand raise up. "Over here, cochise." Josh spoke weakly.

Chris slowly stood up and flick off the snow that smudged his glasses. Making his way to the blurry, raised arm. Grabbing the hand, Chris pulled his friend to his feet.

"Are you alright?" Chris asked, conserned.

Josh nodded with a slight smile. "Yeah, thanks. You can stop holding my hand now."

Chris looked down, realising he still had ahold of Josh's hand so he quickly let go. He glanced back at the mine and saw the earth caved in, but only from where the entrance was destroyed.

"Jesus... the mines were larger than I thought."

"And that's still not all of it." Josh replied.

Chris sighed and glanced at Josh. "Well, I have some bad news."

Josh arched an eyebrow. "What?"

"I...didn't bring my phone so I can't call anyone to pick us up."

"Mr. Prepared-For-Everything strikes again." Josh teased. "Don't worry, there is a gas sation a half a mile up from here. We can call a cab or bus."

"I have my bus card so, yeah. The bus." Chris spoke, a bit annoyed.

This time, Josh took the lead, limping slightly. Chris followed behind, keeping an eye on his friend.

"Hey, you hungry? Thirsty?" The blonde asked.

"I just ate a bunch of fucking snow, I'm pretty sure I'm good." Josh replied.

Chris rolled his eyes and quickly picked up a handful of snow, rolling it up into a ball. "Yo, Josh!"

"Yeah?" Josh turned to face Chris while walking backwards.

Chris threw the snowball at Josh_ the snowball hit Josh right on the middle of his chest.

"Oomf! Oh, you little shit!" Josh laughed as he knelt down to get a handful of snow.

Chris smiled, happy that Josh was playing along. All he was doing was trying to get Josh's mind off of the situation. Seeing Josh was making a snowball, Chris dashed to the gate and began to climb the rock wall, trying to avoid any icey attack. Once he reached the top, a sudden cold force hit the back of his neck, making him fall down the other side of the wall.

"Oh shit!" Josh exclaimed as he ran to the wall, trying to climb it quickly. "Chris?! Chris!" Josh yelled down once he reached the top.
