*Lisa POV*

"Lisa!", Zoey called out to me, for maybe the tenth time in 15 minutes.

"I'm coming, for God's sake. Can't you just wait for five more minutes?", was my exasperated reply. Seriously, this girl needs to learn some patience. I usually don't dress up, so this was taking me a hell of a time. I was getting ready for a dinner, since both us were not in the mood for cooking dinner.

Let me introduce myself. I'm Lisa, and Zoey is like my best friend. Me and Zoey live in a flat in a sub urban London area. We study at a local college here, so it's easier to live here than living with our families back at home. I'm originally from northern Ireland, and Zoey is from Manchester.

We're in the second year at college. Zoey is a completely carefree girl and she trusts people way too easily, so I have to look out for her at times. I feel like she's my little sister. We met on the first day at college, and I instantly knew that we'd become good friends! We share many interests, though we're also different in many ways. To sum it up, we completely love each other's company and can always turn up to the other one for advice.

Finally, I was ready! I applied minimal make up, I like to keep it natural. Zoey burst into my room, not being able to take it any longer.

"Are you ready yet? If you take one more minute then I'm leaving without you!" she threatened. I giggled and unplugged my hair straightener, she's such a baby. We went downstairs, picked up our phones from the counter and and checked ourselves one last time. We went out the door, me locking it behind us.

"Damn I forgot the car keys!", Zoey exclaimed as she rushed back inside. That girl can be really forgetful, she lost her way inside a mall the other day! She came back with the keys and we headed to our car. We drove away to my favourite Italian restaurant, not far from our place. Italian cuisine was one of my favourites, while Zoey preferred Chinese.

We reached in about 20 minutes, and went to book a table while Zoey locked the car. We had a fancy car, not too fancy though, an Audi. it was a combined gift from our parents, and one of our most prized possessions.

I was sitting at the table wondering why Zoey was being so late, while I received a call from an unknown number. I answered the call, "Hello?"

There was a strange noise and I couldn't hear the voice of the person on the other end. The call got cut off.

I panicked, thinking it was him again. I haven't told who's 'he', right? He's my ex-boyfriend, Bruce. We had a great relationship, but then I caught him making a pass at another girl. I was torn inside and broke up, and since then he's been stalking me, kind of. I try to avoid him as much as possible, but it gets hard.

My phone was ringing again.

"Who's this?", I spat.

"Well hello to you too!", Sarah giggled. A feeling of relief washed through me.

It was just her.

"Sorry, I just thought it was some unknown guy calling me", I apologized.

"yeah this is my new number, my previous phone was eaten up by Ziggy. She just eats anything!", she exclaimed. Ziggy is Sarah's more than adorable pup. "Anyway, I called you to say that we should meet up sometime. We haven't, in ages. Are you free tomorrow night?" she enquired.

By then, Zoey had joined me and was listening to my side of the conversation.

"yeah, I am!"

"Cool, bring Zoey with you too. I've missed hanging out with you girls. We'll have a movie night!" she said excitedly.

"Hang on!" I said. I put my palm on the phone and asked Zoey, "Sarah wants us to go to her place tomorrow for a movie night, you okay with it?"

She nodded her head rapidly.

"Yeah Sarah, we'll be at your house by 7 tomorrow. See you soon, pal!"

We ordered our food, which was a LOT, to be truthful. We both ate a lot from the point of view of an average girl.

We returned to our flat and went straight to our rooms. I jumped into my bed, without even bothering to change my clothes. To say that I was tired would be an understatement. I quickly fell into a dreamless and peaceful sleep.
