*Lisa POV*

He parked the car near a tree, and jogged over to my side to open the door for me. I stepped out, and I had to pinch myself to believe that I wasn’t dreaming.

I guess it was in the outskirts of London, it was the countryside. There was a small stream running in the corner, and a layer of grass covered the area like a carpet. There were trees, with small colourful birds perched on them. It was something I'd always imagined and dreamt about, but I’d never been to such a place. It was exactly like the places described in the fairytales that my mom used to read out to me years ago.

Someone touched my shoulder and I jerked, I was too engrossed in the sight before me. I relaxed when I realized it was him.

“This isn’t all, follow me!”

Wait, there was more? This boy is more thoughtful than I expected him to be. How did he guess that this was the place I always dreamt of going to? It’s like he read my innermost desires.

“This is... it is… beautiful.” This was an understatement, but no words escaped my mouth. It was so peaceful and serene, a total contrast to the busy life in London.

He held out his hand and I took it as he led me further down the trail, till we reached a small clearing. My breath caught in my throat as I witnessed the sight in front of me.

He had arranged a small picnic for the both of us. There were two baskets, plates, bottles of water and a music player, complete with a red checkered cloth. The stream was flowing nearby, and there were squirrels running here and there. I had never imagined that such places existed in the real world. Weren’t they meant just for fairytales?

“So, do you like it?” I noticed the hint of apprehension in his voice.

“Are you kidding me? I loved it! It’s so beautiful, you arranged all of this for me I-” I couldn’t continue. I turned around and hugged him, catching him off guard. I still couldn’t believe he did all of this for me. It was one of the best things someone had ever done for me.

He held me and patted my back slowly, and it felt so comfortable to be in his arms. It was like, I was meant to be in his arms. Did I really just think that?

I released him, and we walked towards the spot. We sat down and I thought of something to talk about, and it struck me immediately: Niall and Zoey.

“Do you know about Niall and Zoey?” I asked excitedly, I wanted to know what Niall thought about her, and Zayn probably knew all of that.

“I do! You noticed it too, right?!”

“Yes, Zoey went out with him yesterday for lunch, and she was all flustered and shy when I was talking about her and Niall, and believe me, she has never been that way about any boy!”

“I noticed Niall texting someone constantly the other day at the signing, so I snatched his phone and they were all from Zoey! They’ve been talking a lot. And yeah, they were out for lunch together, but Niall won’t spill anything about what happened.”

“I think they’d be really nice together, I mean look at them!”

“I think so too, and I have a feeling that it’s going to happen very soon. You know, Niall hasn’t dated a girl since we’ve been on the X Factor, nor had he ever been so happy and excited about a girl” He grinned while speaking of it, and it warmed my heart to know that he still cared for Niall as if he was his younger brother. I realized that they don’t lie when they say that they are literally like brothers to each other.

We talked more, about everything I could think of. Zayn was really easy to speak to; he listened to everything I had to say with a lot of interest. I thought my life was boring, but he made it look like it was interesting.

“Lisa, do you think you could ever fall for someone like me?” from the look on his face, I understood that he didn’t mean to say it out loud, and the words slipped out of his mouth.

I don’t think he realized it yet, but I was slowly falling for him, and it wasn’t under my control.
